I have just bought a 1.4 Honda Civic EJ9 which came with a list of modifications. The plan was to buy one stock, then build myself but this one came up. £4.5k for a 118k mile EJ9 with:
-BC RACING COILOVERS
-EK9 REAR LIP, SPOILER, SPLITTER, GRIL
-SPARCO LIGHTWEIGHT WHEELS
-CUSTOM EXHAUST SYSTEM
-UPGRADED EXHAUST MANIFOLD
-TEGIWA UPGRADED RAD
-SILICON HOSES
-FRONT + REAR STRUT BRACES
-SILVER LOWER CONTROL ARMS
-SILVER SUBFRAME BRACE
-S200 STEERING WHEEL
-WEIGHT SHIFTER
This was everything I would've done myself. I wanted to build it myself as it would've been my starting point in modifying cars. Nothing major engine wise has been done so I still have that.
Anyway, the cat and car is too low. I'm thinking of raising the front by 20mm and the rear by 10-15mm to help not catching the cat on every single bump in the road, but I feel like it might not really be the height of the car, but the cat itself. It looks massive and very low. I haven't have the chance to get it on a lift to have a proper look just yet but I'm planning to by a smaller sports cat. Does anyone have any recommendations or general help to what I should or can do?
Thanks.
