Are these hard to remove, as if I knew I could get them on and off in one piece I would tackle taking them off and painting? Does the Mirrors need to come off?

Theyre not too difficult to remove.. it is easier with the mirrors off but thats only 3 screws so worth doing.. wind the window all the way down and basically try prize them off.. they will quiet tight on there..

My mate painted his and they always went tacky in hot sun being rubber coating on them.. leaves would stick to them and leave marks hence why I wanted to avoid painting.. try rubbing them down using different grit sand paper and then polish them up and put trim dressing on them..

Hope this helps :)

Been a while since I've posted, been busy moving flats..

Then my clutch went...

First of all i apologise for the lack of photos it was a hectic 2 day period.

Spent all of Sunday cleaning her up ready for dmaxx250 at santa pod. Also got the wet vac out and used woolite on the seats, they came out really well and the colour really came back too!

Soooo the time has come..

As much as I will miss this car its been an absolute gem.

New job requires a bigger more practical car.

So this means bits are up for sale. I would rather sell it whole but I will split certain bits. I.e the price of dc5 seats are crazy these days so would make sense splitting.

So if anyone is interested.....

Aww thats a shame! Like this car.

Would kinda like your shell as its 100x nicer than mine but I doubt it makes 'economical sense'!

Thanks buddy, I am gutted tbh I wish I could afford to run two motors..

Maybe one day I'll be back with a toy, maybe an eg next time..

And probably not but if I can sell the seats at least I will let the rest go for a half decent price.. I know some are asking crazy money for some of these now haha

Car is now for sale.

Its on 104k will rise..

This year alone its had:

Ball joint
Drop links
Discs and pads
Clutch
Service
Wipers

Last year:

Window motors
heater matrix work (mate fixed it) not sure what was wrong but its now a furnace lol
Wheels, tyres and alignment

I'm pretty sure that's all its needed in the 2 years me and my mate have owned it.

Had a fresh mot put on it today.

Its a lovely car, its been great fun. Loved taking it to shows it gets a fair bit of attention which is nice.

Oldest car I've ever had and by far the most reliable.

As we all know though.. these are old now don't expect absolute A1 condition but this is certainly a nice example.

Want any more info pm me

Located near Chichester (near portsmouth)

Whoever buys this will be getting a nice example. Had a good look around when I met with Mitch a couple months back.

Thanks mate, so posted it on Facebook market place and within 20 mins I had about 6 people willing to take it without even seeing it which was bloody crazy.

Car is sold and I have potentially found a van. Maybe one day I will find myself with another ek or eg
