Been working on it some more, Harv came over last night & decided to take my dash out.

He has been trying to get me to remove my heaters for ages but I never really wanted too. After seeing the size of the unit, i decided to remove it.

Once i've got my holiday out of the way next month & Have some additional cash again I Can order up my Windows & Heated front screen.


Also Got my Bumper & Carbon bonnet back from the Bodyshop with the j's scoop fitted & Painted, they look amazing!

Nice update dude those J's scoop looks the part with fresh bumper respray! You gonna leave without that dash as is think it looks proper raw look sick man good effort!! When is that b18 lump getting in??;)

Hah thanks dude, No i think i will be putting it back in, I want to get it flocked at some point though I love how they look!

The b18 will be next year man, it needs parts on the ITB's to get it running & That money needs to be spent elsewhere right now. But im in now Rush i still love my B16 !

Did you weigh the heater related parts you took out?
 
Cars coming along really well, would be good to know the weight of the heaters and parts you removed behind the dash out of interest, do you have bathroom scales or the thing people use for weighing luggage?

Instead of a heated screen you could always use the small 12v electric portable in car heaters as a demister, they work great and can be mounted at the corner of the dash
 
I weighed mine which had a non aircon middle box in it.

Heater blower - 2.38kg
Heater matrix - 4.18kg
Middle - 0.65kg
Dash - 15.5 standard
Gutted - 12.63kg (screws, heater vents etc)
