My EJ9 Totalled by a truck on the M11.. :(

Hi guys, just wanted to add a little update.. on the way to Stanstead Airport from London.. A lorry hit me which caused me to loose control and end up on the barriers after a few impacts..

Basically he was behind me but on the 3rd lane (are lorry's even allowed on the 3rd lane??) and decided to go in the middle lane without looking.. he hit the rear right side of my car which made me loose control and i went flying into the barriers and bounced back off.. he hit me again and I went flying to the barriers again until i bounced back off for one final impact right at the back of my car.. which sent me flying to the barriers one last time... angry2: the car is completely shattered and the roof was removed in order to remove my mother out of the car safely.. and very surprisingly i WALKED out of the car without a SINGLE scratch or source of pain.. Although now im getting slight muscle pain which is perfectly normal after several impacts of that length.. Here are some pictures of my dead EJ9 which I couldnt care less about as long as myself and my mother was perfectly ok.. I must add we was VERY VERY lucky.. me being perfectly fine, mum had a bad whiplash which is very good considering the crash, and walked out of hospital with subscribed paracetamol..

i actually didnt see it coming and the thing is I didnt do anything wrong, not over limit, etc etc.. the "consequences" that the truck driver had to face is just taking an "Advanced Truck Driving" course, if he didnt, they would take him to court.. suprisingly, i thought he hit and run, then I realised he was 200m away parked, and gave himself into the police saying it was completely his fault and we were innocent and faultless..

yeah i think it was a foreign transporter :\ what a nightmare in the middle of a pleasant drive to the airport to pick a family member up..

yep, not looking forward to a day spent over the phone considering how tired i am.. (i feel like i just got hit by a truck - pun intended )

Thank you Yeah I was so scared he might have gone off after that.. not knowing if he has killed us or not etc.. I guess it was decent of him to stop although i hate him for even making my mum and myself experience such horror..

thank you mate, slight pains developing now around my upper body/neck area etc.. oh and I have a weird fear of trucks now.. on the way back from hospital, it was actually so intimidating to go past trucks on the motorway again..

Ah yes, I saw your thread and your car before on the forums etc.. tbh as much as i love my car.. at the time i did not give a s*** and I just wanted to get it all over with and get the hell out of there!

Oh and also, im actually surprised about how strong the EK chassis is, i was expecting it to be a lot weaker than it turned out to be to be honest..

It is a shame that your car has been damaged so badly but you can always get another car and i am sure insurance will pay you out after that.

haha luck is not something that runs in my family.. when it does, it is normally after an unlucky event.. eg. getting hit by truck and then surviving..

Glad to hear that you and your mum are ok and well.

I hope so too mate, yeah im waiting for insurance to pay me out, then ill be on the lookout for a stock black ej9 again :\ i dont want to get any other colours, i know i sound stubborn but yeah!
