Ok Guys (and gals!)

The start of my project thread, now i wanna keep this pretty quiet for a while so this is the only forum i am posting this up - biggest reason being is because there might not be millions of members on here but its a million times better than other forums! so :secret: lol

Ok heres the car as it stands now!

2000 Honda Civic VTi EK4 in Supersonic Blue Pearl
Engine B16a2

Engine Mods at the moment:
DC Sports 4-1 Manifold
Decat
Buddyclub Pro Spec cat back system
J's Racing Whale *****
NRG Torque Damper
Magnecor KV85 Ignition leads

Suspension Wheels & Brakes Mods:
D2 Coilovers
ITR 282mm Fronts
15" Rota - Mugen RnR Replicas

Cosmetic Mods:
Genuine OEM CTR Front Lip
Genuine OEM CTR Rear Lip
Genuine OEM CTR Spoiler
Genuine OEM CTR Grille
Genuine OEM CTR Wind deflectors
Genuine OEM CTR Headlights
EK9 Red rocker cover
Spoon Kevlar Plug cover
Skunk 2 inside solenoid cover
Spoon reservoir covers

It made 172bhp/145whp & 118ft pounds @ the dyno

Plans:

Ok this is where I need your opinions. My plans in my head are:

Buying a DC2 integra-r (very good prices these days) and using it as a donor car, taking the engine, recaro’s and 5 lug hubs so I can run the rear teg brakes, teg wheels and the brake master cylinder.

Then selling the rest of the car – selling my b16a2, wheels, manifold, and everything else I take off the VTi.
So at the end of the day I will have made most of my money back after doing a full b18c6 conversion (all work will be carried out by myself)!

Plans for the B18C-R:

Rebuild – stem seals, piston rings, big end shells, head gasket etc….
Buddyclub IV Cams
Buddyclub Valves
Buddyclub Valve springs and retainers
Buddyclub Adjustable cam pulleys
Hondata s300

Plans for the Car:

All suspension bushes replaced by OEM and Poly bushes
ASR Brace & 22mm EK9 ARB (already ordered)
LCA’s (unsure on what ones to buy – suggestions???)
Maybe different coilovers (the D2’s are very good – they do have a bad reputation tho!)

All input, help and suggestions much appreciated!!

I cant falt it mate - you can see my dyno figures and compare with yours!

I can get the graph up 2moro if yous want! my car has an unusual torque graph i get nearly 110ft pounds at around 2800rpm then it slowly rises to 118@ roughly 7900rpm

My mates VTi torque graph was well different - slow rise to 113 @ around 7900rpm

nice polour! car looks sweet :nice: what your proposing sounds like a good idea to me it would be rather rapid with the teg block  :drive:

exterior looks perfect to be honest. sitting nice on those rims.

good luck with the motor build

What do you guys recommend as far as honing the block myself on the rebuild? I was gonna buy a honing tool?

Very nice car dude. super Clean :nice: as for the engine, why do you need to touch the bottom end when its not broken and your keeping it stock pistons/rods anyway? ;)

Well i just wanted to have a basicly brand new b18c in my car !

I mean i will be fully rebuilding the head apart from the LMA's as there is no need but do you think the piston rings will be ok on a 85k miles motor?

Does the Jap Spec b18c-r use the same size axles/driveshafts as the uk spec? so my ek4 shafts would work???

Any suggestions on the LCA's?

I was thinking MFactory but will the spherical bearings last in scotland?

I was wanting a set of Omnipower LCA's but i cant find them for the EK4 any more :(

I would go for Function7 LCA's, if you can find them with fork type fitment, The car looks stunning :nice:

Compression test and leakdown test the enigne and you'll know exactly how good the piston rings seal is. :nice:

Good point! It never even crossed my mind!!! anyone know what psi a B18c6 cylinder should be - lol
