My Ek9 at Cadwell and the Ring

That's quite a lot of driving for one week!

Exhaust sounds totally different in the Caldwell video,

Mic was mounted on rear bumper when cam inside, mic in cab while cam on roof.

Some good footage mate, decent weather too :nice: would love to try Cadwell, just too far away. Not a fan of the Ring either.

Forgot to ask what mic you using? If its cheap enough I'll get one for my trip. Get a lot of wind noise when I've got my windows open.

Out of interest,
Why weren't you keen on the ring?
I loved it!

My dad who ownes a 310hp mk1 mx5 so no pussy - summed it up well..

Recently got back from a 3 day trip to the ring; the experience was great and I'm glad I did it, however, I doubt I will ever go back. People say it is the most dangerous track in the world and I have to agree, we saw 2 terrible crashes and there are few or no marshals around the track, they rely on the public viewing areas to report accidents.

You will enjoy the experience, I have never seen so many high powered cars in one place, take it easy and have eyes up your arse, expect to be overtaken at very high speed ANYWHERE on the track and keep these facts in the back of your mind:

If you break down it will cost you around €200 to be recovered.
If you hit the Armco, well....... Make sure you have an empty credit card with you.
As you go through the barrier to enter the track there is a sign saying German road regulations apply, don't believe that one!
A guide told us that between 15-23 people die on the track each year, 60% of those are bikers.

All the above is for your info, I'm not trying to put you off. Visit all the public viewing areas around the track, it's great fun and there's food available in most of the areas, you can get a map of these at the same place you buy your entry tickets.

Go to the info centre at the gp track and book a gp VIP tour, combined with a museum visit it will cost €22 and well worth it. I lived in Germany for many years so it was like going home for me, the area is great, do some research and have a 'visit day'.

It's a £3 one soldered into the gopro one, replacing the std one.
