I weighted my car last Friday, with all the equipment on, including spare tire and trunk cover, + half tank of gas.

The weight was 2420 pounds!!! is that too much? :nerv:

Honda papers say its 1090 kg. Yours is 7 kg heavier, but simple things can make the difference + - like aftermarket header which is lighter or aftermarket cams which are heavier etc.........Your weighting equipment might be a bit off also........:nice:

my converted ej6 weighed 2249lbs

I weight 160 pounds.

My ek9 went through a big diet lol.

Carbon fiber hood, fiber glass trunk, + FAL "glasses", light weight wheels ( SSR TYPE C) No interior, Jun titanium exhaust, no a/c , no power steering, light weight camber kit, lightweight header, mugen intake, aluminium radiator.

Since I can't install fiber glass doors (race regulations) i did this:

spoonctr i hope you dont drive you car on the street becuase the absense of door inrusion beams will make the car very dangerous if you get in a side impact collision. do you have a roll cage?

most people say there are 2 types of people who remove there door beams:
-people who race and use a cage instead
-or people who are insane!!

i hope your the first one:nerv:

The Fal Glasses dropped the weight hmmm maybe more than 150 pounds mate, I paid for them 1000£ Thats my secret, Also the fiber glass trunk dropped the weight almost 35 pounds :nice: I don't have photos because I'm idiot  in computer related **** lol

FAL lexan windows are great for a race car, but undesirable for a street car because it scratches easily and according to SCC magazine, they expand and contract with temperature changes making the gaps different at the edges.

Blinx have you taken out you're sound deadening tar on the floor pans? That can save 17-18 pounds, and you can take out the fire wall mat for another 10 or so pounds, if you like the added engine bay noise.

firewall mat? whats that? no i still have the tar, car is already loud, i dont want it to be any ouder :nice:

Its a thick mat on the inside of the car on the back of the firewall. It reaches from the top of the firewall down to the floor pan, and weighs roughly 10 pounds. It keeps the engine RPM noise down (why I kept mine, b16 transmission). To remove it you need a utility knife, its not glued to anything.

The sound deadening tar keeps road noise down, and its easily removed with 30 pounds of dry ice, a rubber mallet, a puddy spreader, and a small chizel.
