Hi all been a member on here a while but never really started a build thread so thought I would chuck up some pics and a bit of what I've done so far, no performance mods just all cosmetic really, anyway here goes:

The day I got the car:

After having the car about a year and not really doing anything to it apart from an underseal (which Dan- jordan101 done for me) I decided to get the car resprayed and get some of the little things that where annoying me sorted:

Cracked lip

Cracked rear bumper after a woman in tesco decide to park up. My arse:

Paint blister on bumper:

Scuffed mirror:

Chip on front wing:

Dreaded rust on rear arch, due to leaky rear lights:

So sent the car away for a full exterior respray for all the above issues and to get all the little car park dents etc removed and the rust cut out of the arch, few pics of the respray in progress:

How it stands now after the respray:

Has been like that since last April and hadn't really done much to it till the last few months as lost a bit of interest but getting back into it now and bought some new parts:

Not a perfect steering wheel but much better condition than the one I had:

Gave the engine bay a bit of a clean up and realised the paint was starting to flake on my rocker so decided it needed refurbed and wanted my strut to match so that was the next step.

Pics of the bay after a quick clean and strut removed:

Refurbed rocker and strut was going to fit these last night but it was raining:

I bought a set of jdm ep3 seats from jamesyouprat but not fitted these yet either as need to make some modifications to my rails:

Anyway that's it for now excuse the pics I am not great at taking pics and these where taken on an iPhone.

Will post up some more pics once I have fitted the rocker, strut and the seats hopefully fairly soon, weather dependant.

C&C :welcome:

Very nice, great progress with the respray and there is only one way to do it properly!

Seats and painted parts are a good addition to the car

Lovely ek9 man, great attention to detail! The seats were a nice touch! Any further plans for it??

Thanks guys. Only plans at the moment are to get rocker and strut fitted and a couple of other little dress up bits plus a bit more of an engine clean. Then get the seats in. After that want to get a new number plates as they are pretty tatty and want a new number plate tilt bracket as the one I have is bit bulky and doesn't look that great. Got a couple of other things planned but will see I might change my mind, but again will be cosmetic. Maybe start think about some performance mods in the summer when i finally get it looking the way I want, been a long/slow process so far lol.

Oh also need to sort out my passenger side light as it keeps fogging up.I've got a spare set which I have sprayed black on the inside so when I put these back together I may end up getting some black wheels lol.

Any suggestions on what else could be done?

Cheers Ross, I'll drop you a text get you to send me a pic of it, the one I have is bit horrible to be honest so anything a bit neater will do lol. Was going to order the tegiwa one as it looks pretty slim.

Thanks elchunk. It's totally worth getting re-sprayed mate, costs a lot for a good job but would recommend it! I would have DIY'd it myself but moved in with the missus and don't have the space to do this anymore and couldn't be bothered with the ear ache lol so I got a guy from the itr forum to do it for me, he's done some cracking covers! Can send you a link if your interested (I have nothing to do with him so my recommendations come solely on the work he's done for me)

Spooner I take it. Was thinking about getting him to do one as they are as good as the originals by the looks of the pictures on that forum.

Well Got round to fitting the refurbed rocker and strut after shearing two of the bolts that hold the spark plug cover in place (all four of these where ****** and the thread was ruined on all four of the bolts so I replaced them all).

Old rocker removed

New one on

looks fantastic mate, the bay is gleamin now lol. any plans in particular for it?
