My EK9.... take 2

Quick update

Managed to get the Carbing three point strut fitted today. It's brightened up the engine bay nicely I think

We update

fitted 2 new rear wheel bearings with new dust shields. New nuts, bolts and washers... also cleaned the brake discs up a little while they were off, it's now looking near good as new

Really good example this, how come you took the spoon calipers off?

Did you keep the old dust shields? might be interested if you'd sell them and they're decent condition

Thanks mate

The Twinblocks were getting faded over time, the original anodised finish is a real pain to keep fresh and I didn’t fancy paying to have them refurbed in a not original finish (paint). That and the fact they were still worth good money meant they had to go, I do miss the way the pedal felt with them on, it was more firm and had more feedback through it but in terms of actual stopping power there’s not much between them at all

yeah I have the original dust shields, I felt guilty taking them of, they were grubby but underneath the grub they are in near new condition. They are discontinued from Honda so I had to source some MG ones that are same fitment for my fresh new ones, if your interested in them send me a message mate

Just binged through this whole thread, amazing work keeping this thing so clean. Amazing parts choice too!

she's kept in a temperature and humidity controlled garage all year round, is only taxed for 6 months a year and only comes out on nice sunny days. I try my best to keep her pretty

Ah I nearly went too, only because I didn't see an EK9 on that list and would seem wrong to have a Type R meet without one but it ended being too early for me haha! am glad you did rep the 9s! looking good

It's taken a while to read through this thread but it was worth it, what a car this is mate it looks like it's come out of a timewarp. Clean as. Looks stunning and mods in the right places. I honestly could never tire of looking at this car. If it was mine I'd consider shifting my bed into the garage
