I sold my old starlet gt turbo as i was going to pay the money to have my ek9put through the sva test, but decided to wait the 3 months until it turned 10.
I bought this as a project to do until my ek9 is ready, when i got it the engine was ****ed. It had never been looked after and was in a sorry state, but i only paid £900 for it with the new engine so was a bargain. I have spent the last 3 weeks rebuilding it, i have put the new engine in it, replaced the timing belt and tensioners, put a new exedy clutch in it and painted the rocker cover and a few various other parts as they were well past their best.
I am really proud of what i have managed to achieve as i am no mechanic and have never attempted anything this big before, here are the pics of the build up hope you all like it.

here are the pics of when i picked it up.

nice job and nice car, I had a glanza in 2006, they're good daily drivers!

i had a starlet gt for 2 years and it never let me down once. i had to replace the cv joints and that was about it. really good little cars and keep up with alot of other cars on the road, only thing that lets them down is the handling. its not bad but compared to the 9 its not that great. but the ek9 does handle amazingly. lol

yeah i had my previous black quadlight for 1.5 years, never let me down and never had to replace anything on it apart from the cam belt.
