Whats going on! I'm new to the site but not new to Hondas, I'm currently on my second civic, my first one was a 92 SI. It had a JDM B16A swap with full suspension and other goodies, unfortunately I ended up blowing up the motor by putting the number 3 cylinder rod threw the block. So after that i ended up looking for a new car. I wanted another Honda and it had to be a 5 speed, it also needed to be rust free. So with lots of searching I found my new ride. A red 99 Civic LX sedan.
My goal for it is to make it into a SI replica or a VTI-RS replica. At the current moment I'm building a poor mans Type R. I have a GSR block, crank, Skunk2 rods, floating Nippon USDM Type R pistons and the B16A cylinder head from my hatch, and without further ado my new ride.

I got alot of work done to the car since I had her. I did some digging and found out the last owner was a woman with a dog and a kid. As I was pulling plastics out to do a deep cleaning I found her lip gloss, mints, pens, and flossers. I have found alot of dog hair and have found somethings, like the back seat belt and sun visors chewed up from it. When I pulled the back seat out I found spilled pop, and a snack pack wrapper. I also think the last owner or the dealer sprayed painted the carpet, unfortunately I didn't spot that when I was checking out the car.

Back seat

Looks like the car just got a little cheaper

This is the pop that was spilled

This is what I cleaned up just on one side

A little inspirational quote from the last owner. It said "Don't give up." and I know why she put it on there. It's because it had a bad door switch.

Here is some of the paint I found when i was cleaning the plastics and chairs.

I was able to get the paint off of the plastics but I couldn't get any off the seat rails, so I'm going to find some at the junk yard or from some people on Facebook.

All clean and shinny

Some of the crap that was left behind from her

Besta luck with her man. lot to be said for tidying a yoke haha. Often bought somethin cleaned it to death an then been asked did i buy another one hahahaha

Thanks. Every time I buy a car I clean it like I just killed someone.

Thanks, this is the first ek civic that I've owned and I've always wanted a facelifted model. It's not the color I wanted but its growing on me.

I know it has been awhile since my last post but i got alot done and found some more treasure.

First, I found this horrible love note in the back of my passenger side front seat.

A friend of mine found a factory ash tray from the junk yard and I ended up buying it from him for $40. I did have to do alot of cleaning on it because it was nasty, I also had to modify the cigarette lighter so I can still have a power source for my phone charger.

This is what it looked like before I cleaned it up

After it got cleaned up it looked so much better and the smell also went away.

After all of that cleaning I couldn't use the power supply because it was rusted and it didn't come with the wiring for power, so I used the stock one that came with the car.

After looking I found out Honda used two different power supplies. I had to modify the power supply that came with the car to use it with the ash tray.

With some cutting I was able to make it work without having to make a harness

I got some new oem fog lights and a used oem SI grill, unfortunately the previous owner didn't want the emblem so he dug it out and sold it for $40 which is a steal. So now if I want to use the emblem I have to epoxy it on or get a new one.

I don't think he realized he could have just unscrewed it.

I also got some amazing CTR replica headlight and yellow fog light covers, but the headlights didn't fit right and had to return them.

I love it, but I'm not done. I still need to replace the carpet, headliner, and sun visors. So right now it's not as clean as I want it.

Nothing really to update. I did have to replace my head gasket. In the process I switched the head to a y8 head, and installed the y7 cam, valve train, intake and exhaust just so I didn't have to switch the ecu.

Nothing really to update. I've been stashing money back for my poor man R. But I did get a cabin air filter installed and painted my wiper arms.

Can you get some New pictures up I want to this and your old ones don't work anymore.

As you guy and gals know photobucket is being a big c_nt and charging people to share photos. So I will be trying Flickr out to see how it work and try to get everything back up. Right now you can go to my Instagram account @mike_theviking_menough and check out what's new.
