vening all.

Ive had my s2000 for just over a year now and have been slowly getting to know the car. Its now time to start some work and so I thought id keep you all up to date!

It started with a 8/9 hour round trip to pick the car up from the north, it was a fantastic drive back and I was very happy with my purchase

The spec list was:

Braided brake lines
Smoothed front bumper with optional lip
rare optional headrest spears
CR faux carbon headunit cover
decat
redstuff pads
JDM rear subframe
Fidanza lightened flywheel

Once I had her saftly home it was time for a serivce, a clean and of course some pictures!

I had the roof replaced for a mohair item and continued enjoying the car for a few months.

My other half then treated me to some new wheels and I grabbed some Bridgestone RE070's to go with them

Fantastic tyres!

It was then time to head to my buddys to get them mounted

I was happy with the fitment, the offset was a little low but I took it to a local body shop to have the front wings pulled to sort this.

I was super happy with the wheel/tyre combo and enjoyed pushing the car harder with its new levels of grip.

After this came our annual trip to the ring and so I serviced the car once more

And then the journey began, my longest one in my s2000 so far, and she performed brilliantly

I couldn't believe how brilliant the car was on a trip like this, enough room for mine and my other halves gear for a week, happily cruises on the motorway, keeps up with alot of other cars on the autobahns, performs brilliantly on the track and then perfect for a roof down evening drive home from a restaurant.

Since then I have just been enjoying the car, weve had some good weather here so the roof has been down alot. Ive got my old number plates back from my integra

The front needs a tidy up. The splitter came into contact with a high kerb at the gym and the number I had to put on for France and left an awful mark. Ive got a rear diffuser sat her that needs fitting and service parts on the way aswel as new dics/pads and TCT to be done before we go back to the ring in August.

Currently trying to work out a fuelling/ignition problem and once thats sorted its all systems go!

Beautiful! I love it, just a shame about the number plate.

A smaller one on the front would look much better IMO.....

Thanks for the nice comments!

It is a shame about the plate, once the bumper is repaired Im going to look at different plate options, have to be careful not to attract the law around here being in Essex an' all!

New tct arrived today, just waiting on a few more bits for a nice big overhaul/service

Yup haha, s2k pulls on the ek9 once we get into triple digits, but cant shake me in the corners ;)

Good to see your finally on here! When he says overhaul he means leave it at mine and i do all the work!

lovely motor ! any drag race with the dc5/ek9 ?

The dc5 is pretty much neck and neck all the way, and the ek9 in straight line falls behind once the s2000 is in 4th gear/110mph ish, but in the corners aye the ek9 comes into its own as i'm sure you know!

This is true! I figured I may aswel say hello instead of just lurking around here, plus now I can keep tabs on you

my old car!!!!!

well done mate the car is looking sexual!!!

oh wow awesome! Im glad you like it!

JDM plates would look good :)

I was going have some made up to see, I wasnt sure how they would look as I havnt seen to many examples, over on s2ki most are american so have those style plates, I may do a couple of photoshops with the price places charge for plates these days!

Back with a couple of updates.

Since my last update i've been enjoying the car while keeping it clean and serviced. I've added the alloy craft rear diffuser and under floor which was a fantastic fit when following the instructions they emailed me. Sadly its matt black and doesn't really show up in pictures!

Our annual ring trip took place once again end of August, had yet again another fantastic week. This time we stayed in our own house rather than a hotel

Brilliant accommodation for 8 people, if anyone wants any details I can let you know more.

Fantastic views to wake up to!

Of course we stopped and Pistonklause for steak on a stone!

Also we stopped at Pinocchio's for a huge pizza one night! An absolute must for anyone who loves their pizza!

We had the chance to drive the GP track aswel this year which for myself was a dream come true. I've always been a formula 1 fan and to driving that track is something that ill never forget. It did however highlight that my recently upgraded discs and pads (mtec grooved + yellowstuff) are not up to the job on a track like that.

Thanks to that trip I have fallen in love with my S all over again, it really is a fantastic car.

I have been doing a few little jobs here and there that Ive meant to do for a while

Ive recently been reading into alot aerodynamics and its something that really interests me! So I though it get myself a rear wing. A friend was selling his full carbon adjustable for a crazy cheap price so I snatched that up, should of taken the van to pick it up though. Ill get some better pictures of it soon

Just trying to work out the best way to install it without damaging the boot in the long run.

As usual the car has been kept clean and Im learning more and more about detailing now to keep the paint in great condition. Obviously the front end is looking a mess right now, a high kerb and a flapping number plate have left there marks. I have a new lip here waiting to be fitted and then the car is in to have the front end resprayed.

It was my birthday on the 15th to, the mrs treated me to a personal grinta 330mm and the parents a nice clarke tool chest, pictures to follow! Once the front end has been tidied up Ill get the DLSR out and grab some proper photo's.

thanks

Beautiful s2k!

Thanks for sharing :D

Car looks great man. Love your yearly trip to the ring sounds like a great tradition. Always liked s2000's and the way they feel on the road. Any plans for suspension changes?

Great S2000 bud! I have thought about getting one, many a time...may still do reading this lol

I like the fact you keep this a bit oem+ with simple mods.....and the fact you take it to the ring yearly :nice:

Wheel design and colour looks great on the silverstone paint, and looks surprisingly good, despite not being 'slammed' for 'fitment'. Just shows not every car has to be these days.

Keep it up!
