Been a while since i updated so thought i best catch up on my thread!
Back in may i went to the nurburgring and havent updated since! Heres a couple of pics from Nur & a quick video of one of the laps!
Honda Civic EK9 Nurburgring Nordschleife 8:48 BTG On Board - YouTube
And then the mission continued....I got some new tyres for a nice price, so sold my Federal FZ-201’s and fitted some brand new R888’s. I still think the FZ-201’s were a better tyre but as i had a trackday coming up i thought best to have newer tyres going on what the weather had been like!
While picking those up i also got myself a second fixed position seat, and a Buddyclub super low seat rail to match! Thought i would have the Recaro SPG as my seat and swap the carbon one over to the passenger side!
I also saw a bargain on Livvy’s website so picked up some new Dixcel Slotted Front and rear Disks with uprated Dixcel front and rear pads and stuck them on!
Then me and Will headed upto Donington for an all day open pitlane trackday that was awesome fun! Weather was on and off but mainly dry which was a bonus!
Borrowed a mates HD helmet cam and goot some footage too!

Then after donington, as you can see i got some build-up on my discs making them judder like mad so had to cook them clean again before my next outing to Oulton Park,
Before oulton park i had wanted to get some ek9 headlights for a while & was toying with the idea of going pre-facelift as technically its a 97 ek9. So then when shandow wanted a facelift front end i made the trip down to london and we swapped!
Came with a pretty tatty front bumper with Replica Mugen lip on
Wanting it to look as OEM as possible i picked up a Genuine CSW Grill / bumper & Lip And got them resprayed in VSM
Also, Having issues with the volume of the Spoon N1 system i went and got a custom 2.5” Stainless system put on my car, still looks like an N1 just quieter & no more blowing & Dodgy lining up hangers!
Only a quick snap of it, and also with the new front end on!
Then i went and met Will again and we headed off to oulton park, The weather was great all morning despite what the weather report said, Needless to say as soon as we got to the pitlane it started absolutely P*****g it down! But we went out anyway, was literally like driving on a slick when it was still raining, Spinning in 4th down the pit straight on the random spots of still water was a bit bizarre! Once the rain stopped it was alot better and we ALMOST had a dry line to follow! Hunted down a couple of Kumho Cup BMW E36 M3’s and got past them which was a fun battle, all in all it was a great day and i was suprised how good the R888’s were in the wet once the standing water was at a minimum!
Anyway here is a couple of pictures from the day!! You can see what the conditions like...
I’ve missed a couple of pics out but i will get them sorted soon! Willisek4 has some more pictures in his thread of his DC2 out on track aswell!
Just need a roll-cage now and a few other bits, but for once im in no hurry to get bits i need. Can just leave it tucked away in the garage for a while! Hopefully some more small updates soon!
