I recently did a clutch job on my car and installed a 4-pad rigid disc and 1800lb pressure plate combo from clutch specialties, new pilot bearing and throughout bearing used and new 12lb XTD flywheel used all in a b16b gearbox.
Now when the car is idle and the gearbox is in neutral with the clutch pedal out i have a strange ratteling/grinding noise as if its a twin plate clutch and as soon as i press down the pedal the noise goes away! What can this be?
I lubed the pilot bearing, i put anti seize on the input shaft and cleaned and regreased the fork, this is not my first clutch job, is it the design of the clutch?
