Straightliners who run TOTB have secured a new airfield venue near Leeds - LS25 6JE.

First event this Sunday, no noise limit.

So its not bad...

Its tarmac not concrete like Elvington, so slightly less grip but I think it will be better for slicks...

Right lane is flawless, dead flat and plenty wide..

Left lane is narrower but still wide enough, after the 8th there is some gentle dips nothing major but poss abit unsettling if your trapping at 120+.

Lots of space for parking etc.

Issues I can see causing problems.

1. No static burnouts (due to it being a tamac airstrip) you can roll through to clean tyres but thats it.
2. Return road - Due to where the startline is positioned the return road is at the finishline so you have to run to the end of the braking area and then park in the centre (the 2 lanes are seperated by 20ft of rough tarmac inbetween) behind the emergency vehicle and wait... after a dozen runs they then escort all of you back to the return road for you to return to the pits... this is not ideal IMO and frustrating.

There was talkof evening running event in summer which would be great fri/sat.

Heres a vid to give you an idea of layout
