EK9 1998
Hello all! New 1998 EK9 owner in Japan. I've wanted one of these cars since they came out. I had a 2000 Civic Si (EM1) in the US when it was new and fell in love with it. Bought the current EK9 that was local and for the most part in good shape, just needs a little TLC. Thanks for having me.

Welcome dude! Love the EK9. I nearly bought one when I was living out there before, prices jumped up crazy. Whats your plans for the car?

Thanks man, where were you at? Yeah the prices have gone nuts, I've been looking for one for awhile but kick myself for not getting one way sooner. I've been out here for a long time and at first I was able to get R32 GTR's for less than what a Ek9 is going for now.

I wanna clean it up, make sure everything is running well. I'd like to either replace the wheels are get them painted, find a stock steering wheel. Stuff like that. I'm going to drive it for a year and maybe ship it to the USA to a friend of mine that has always wanted one then get either a 99-00 EK9, EP3, or maybe a DC5 ITR. If I fall in love with it, I'll keep her though.

I was living in Himeji mostly and lived in Kanagawa for 4 months. Oh man me too, I was so close to buying a few but they were just out of reach when I was there, ended up winning an AE86 on the auctions instead haha.

Sounds good dude! When Japan open's up, I'll give you a shout when I'm visiting for sure.
