New User - im after a ctr ek9!

Andy at 200 bhp cars in newcastle does'nt get many ek9's in at all i've only know'en him to have 2 in ever! he concentrates more on dc5's and jdm ep3's etc ,i know james who works at 200 bhp cars i'll ask him though

OH,and p.s ek9soon one of andy's very good mates has died in a car crash last saturday as well !!!!!!

Hi Danny, ive checked 4 or 5 times, its quite strange i thought, ive checked on moneysupermarket.com and always gave me between 1500-1700

im not complaining though.

So far, ive got in touch with 200bhpcars.com who are proving to be useless, guy has promised me emails about importing my car, but he isnt getting back to me, getting him on the phone is hard, got through yesterday to his wife i guess and she told me he was dealing with a customer only to be texted later and he said his friend died.

avoid them, i guess, i need someone reliable, this isnt something i just want to mess about with.

Wrc-sales dont seem to have much of a clue when i talk to them on the phone.

I have friends who have bought car's off Andy and said the service is spot on, plus you only have to go on the DC5 forum he is highly recommened

duncan (fast jap cars) is the ek9 king in the uk,nobody else gets cars as high quality as his!
thats a fact, look at the cars he sells they speak for themselves...

i was looking for mine for a while and imported it myself, but saw both of the black ek9 r-x's he sold on here to members go through the jap auctions.
many of the traders sell crap r grade's,but he does'nt he always gets high grade cars.
i have no reason to suck his arse, but i resent the crap the usual traders are selling and if it does'nt have an auction report that states its a grade 3 or 4 i'd walk away, theres far too many r grades getting passed off as good cars, they are coming into the uk all the time and i bet theres a few people on here who don't even know that there car is an r grade.

watch out mate and stick to a graded car, even a grade 3 is better than something that the owner does'nt have a report for or so he says, don't buy it without the report period.

before anyone says,i bought it from a jap dealers website, thats bollocks too cos the jap dealers such as graham berry and central motor co are selling r grades that are bought from the auctions.

duncan (fast jap cars) is the ek9 king in the uk,nobody else gets cars as high quality as his!

so hes the only person in the UK to get good grade 3.5/4 Jap cars......... i think not!

Duncan does get very good ek9's:nice: but im gonna say that cos i bought off him lol:) ,but there are other people bringing in very good grade3/4 ek9's as well

one thing about duncan is, he tells you EVERYTHING.

every last mark on the car was described to me, even before it left japan, i got high res images of the car in japan, was kept up to date all the way through. i still keep in contact with him after buying 2 cars, might sound sad but i see him more as a friend through cars rather than a dealer. the condition of the car was superb, i had a look at a few ek9s in the uk before i imported one and even though mine was cheap at the time it was still superior condition. i guess he just knows what to look for and isn't just after a quick buck.

Hey...I just wanna jump in here is I can and raise a few points if concern myself.

I am also new (only actually registered yesterday lol), but I have been watching the forums and so forth fo a while now.

No offence to you EK9soon, but why get an EK9?

You have told us you don't know much about them, so why get one?

i would say to get a uk VTi and have that for a year.

You can get a nice one for £2500, so will save yourself £,000's!

If you like the VTi and get on well with it, the insurance company will look more favourable towards an EK9 a year later.

I think that is a more sensible option, especially because of your age.

But it's your money and your decision in teh end, but do take your time if getting an EK9.

Like others have said, some people (like Duncan) are very good and very reputable.

I have seem a lot more EK9's for sale in teh past year than I have for a long time.

Dealers are buying in cheap ones with low or no auction gradings and selling them at silly prices.

Some are going cheap (£5000 - £6000), but seriously, look at these examples. They are poor. The seats are dirty and very worn, some have body damage, wheels are tatty etc etc...

I'm not going to mention any companies to go to or avoid, but if you see one you like or are unsure about, just post a link on here and get opinions.

As I saod, I am new here too, but I claim to know heaps and heaps about the EK9 and I have seen that many people on here have that knowledge too.

Also...look at the level of standard teh users cars are at...they are not cheap tatty abused ones...they are mainly of high quality.

But enough from me...just think before you act.

That is the best thing to do in any situation.
