Nicole's turbo black ek9

That's a massive step isn't it?!
Finally getting the engine back in the car!

Will have to spend an hour or so reading though your build, I'm sure I follow you on Instagram so will be good to see your updates in more detail :)

Bet it's nice to be getting some of the bits out of the front room and on the car finally!

I only joined this build from the Christmas tree, but holy cow, you've not messed about !

Looking forward to watching this develop. Hopefully see you on track soon! :D

Thanks for all the lovely comments guys :)

As some of you know the car was booked in for mapping on Friday and I didn't make it :(
I came down with a virus which completely shut down any progress on the car for about two weeks, such awful time to be practically bedridden with mapping round the corner :(
Car is at the point its almost ready to start up, just a few things I want to get right beforehand and spend a little longer on rather than rush it.
Really not happy with the boost pipes, the turbo kits been an absolute nightmare from the very beginning with things missing, no instructions or parts labelled - just bags upon bags of random fittings and bolts and my pipework just doesn't fit together at all - really not happy after the money I've spent on it and if I could go back again I wouldn't have bought the kit.

I dont have many pictures of progress, just been cracking on with it tbh, but I have a few off instagram I'll post here :)

got a remote line made up by Hel to run an adapter with 3 take offs for turbo oil feed, oil pressure gauge and the stock oil pressure switch. Hel f*cked up the line, and f*cked up sending it out to me on time again and again so I've had to have another one made up for even more ££ elsewhere :angry2:not happy at all about it, but quite like the remote set up I managed to sort out. took a lot of effort getting it together but it should be a lot safer/reliable :)

many many AN fittings. top service from Torques UK, really impressed with the fittings and the speed they get here!

Car went off for exhaust at AAS in Newcastle, so happy with it. I took the car to them way back when it was on the road in August last year to show them what I had to see if they could replicate the look of my 5zigen exactly, took the car down last friday and they had a few different tailpipes for me to choose from that were exactly like my 5zigen. They've fab'd it with noise in mind so hopefully I'm going to have no issues getting on track with it, it sits nice and tight to the car too

my painters had my vented wings, and we couldnt decide where to put the side repeaters... took some inspiration from the saxo and they've gone in the side strips :) so so happy with these! he's done a brilliant job.

Wow look at that engine bay! Looks real quality. Sometimes it's best to take your time with it, Looks like it's paying off!

Wow its safe to say im now in love with this car that picture of the engine bay the (3rd from the bottom) Just sells the car to me really haha.

The dedication to detail and the aspect of everything working how it should to match the performance is intriguing.

Very cool build thread to follow seen as how far you have come from when you first joined looking for an ek9 :nice:

Never thought it would go this far.

P.S wings are unreal

Decent progress despite the setback. Love your engine bay, those wings look really good and you can't go wrong with TE37s!

Wow what a build. Just read the whole thing it took a while but we'll worth it. Excellent work. Will be keeping an eye out for updates

Beautiful car, looks so aggressive in that front end picture, good place to put the side repeaters too, I've always wondered where to place them if I did ever go vented.

Surprised you never took it to Will @rdt for mapping.

Engine bay looks amazing Nicole! Makes me want to sort mine out and make it look new again!

Sooo close! Won't be long, worth the wait once it's out on track

This is looking awesome Nicole, Got to get a Honda meet sorted in the North East once the weather starts picking up again. Want to see this machine!

Black 37's are a solid choice.
