Number Plate Sizes?

Putting my private plate on my car next week.


Currently i have 13x6.5" plates with the letters all on one line.

These appear slightly more legal looking than the plates laid out across 2 lines.


Anyone know where i can get these? Trying to avoid any hassle from the polis'

Doesnt seem to give me the option of 13x6.5 with lettering across one line opposed to two.

Yeah i think it is also.

I know 100% If your cars an import and u want to use square jdm sized plated the number plate size and lettering has to fall within the peramiters of a tricycle or quadricycle wich has writing on two lines, However thats only if your car " due to its construction or design, cannot house a standard uk registration plate"

1 trafic copper told me all cars have to have single number plates and have to be center of car so i sed what about imports they have square like mine he said its illegal
And the center thing i said what about evos and alfa romaos come standard like that so he just repied dont get smart with me....

Yours is illegal mate if u still have that tiny square one dosnt mater where it is along as its on the front and coearly visible. but jdm plates on imports is definetly not illegal. Ill post up the exact VOSA regulations on import size number plates to tomorrow when im at work.

Yea ino mine is but i had my original and the bak is original but he sed they are both illegal i was argueing about it but because i was right n he was wrong he didnt like it n started being a cock !!!

Yeah i had the same thing a few months back. They just dont wana hear it if you know a part of the law they havnt got a clue about.

I even argued the point i was an MOT tester and i made sure i knew the regulations on it because its relevent as i have an imported car. showed them my card the lot and they still wouldnt have it.

Ended up running UK plates after being pulled for the ones in the picture
