Nurburgring April 2016


Far too soon for me to be able to come.
Think Nicole is going around that time though
 
Just randomly had a few mates tell me they planning to go them dates.
I probably wont be taking my car as ive got rockingham the weekend after.
 
I do plan on going but it's going to be getting round to it this year I think.
 
Would be great to see your car where it belongs!
Where do you stay, ive stayed at dorint twice with track view.
 
We stay like 20km away.
Nice little place called hotel wilhelmshoehe. The owner is Scottish Iirc and she helped me out everytime I've had a car stuck in Germany. Feel like I owe it to her to stay at her hotel.
Also it's really cheap

Great hospitality especialy when we are guests. I love dorint i pay about 105quid a night, breakfast included, swimming pool, sauna, secure underground carpark, and amazing view of the track!

This was our balcony view back in 2015 and our hire car:

Yeah see our hotel was less than £200 for 3nights including a meal the 1st night and free breakfasts.
 
I'd love to go to the ring, might struggle for time this year. Maybe a late trip though.
Would be good to get a few of us going together

I could be game for this, not sure if my lads are going this year but for me racecar is life so...

Did you know racecar spelt backwards also spells racecar?!
 
Outside chance of an ek9.org ring trip?
The last one was like 5years ago. My car attended in stock form.
 
I'd be up for it later in the year, got a lot on over the next few months so can't do anything till later in the year. But count me in
 
My lads usually go August/sept time.
 
So got to the ring on friday got back on monday morning. Had a amazing time with my mates, they managed to get 2 laps each. Track was closed on saturday probably due to a accident, and sunday was ram packed with bikers with their spring break the atmosphere was crazy!
All in all cant wait to go back however got rockingham this sunday so pretty excited.
Need to get some pics and vids of my mates gopro, so shall update soon.
 
I was there friday and saturday, they wouldn't let my car on friday because of the winged seat. borrowed a pole position and we got two laps in on the saturday!

We met you saturday night at the petrol station 3 lads with the dc5 and we had a m3. Sorry i didnt get to introduce myself i was completely shattered, got to say your car sounded savage when you pulled away!
 
You mentioned they wouldnt let you on as you had to prove it was a road car, i would have assumed with a valid mot they couldnt contest it?
So glad you managed to get on eventually, how does the ring compare to Spa, thats where we are planning next.
