nurburgring trip advise

okay lads im looking to argue my case for a trip to nurburgring with my college motor club.....aside from the track itself what activities are there around the track itself or within a short radius of the track

looking to keep it mostly motor related museums/karting etc....

im not sure what activities there is apart from the track as have never been but dont want to be just trekking around museums all day.
 
The ring has its own museum on site, also on site is karting, and other activities like simulators etc.
not sure about surrounding areas but the track itself is easily a weekends activity sorted.
 
Ye ring world has karting and a museum, also there is a casino haha. Nurburgring castle is closed for the rest of the year. Adenaeu has lots of motorsport buildings, they have a radical workshop there
 
Drive through the mountains in teh neighbourhood.
 
Yup the roads are awesome, if u exit the nord entrance and go right at the round about and follow the road along side the straight you get to a t juntion. Go left and it takes you all the way to adenau, there are 180 degree hairpins down the mountains.
