Technical question

How should I connect this set-up

THE CAR : CIVIC 1999 HB OBD2B

THE ENGINE : CIVIC 1998 OBD2A

LEFT ODB2A __________________ AND________________ RIGHT OBD2B

Yes, I have the both computer, OBD2A et OBD2B
THE CONNECTEUR ON THE ECU OBD2B IS MAIN HARNESS UNDER DASH
THE 3 OTHER CONNECTOR COME FROM THE ENGINE

I HAVE 4 CONNECTOR, I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW I WILL CONNECT EVERYTHING


I know they exist a convertor harnes OBD2B TO OBD2A

4 connectors??? wtf???? what does the one from the dash go to? i'm sure the proper jumper harness has provisions for all of this...
 
The 3 connectors on the left are for the ecu, the other one in the right the abs\ecu plug.
In some civics the abs ecu is on top of the engine ecu, thats what the two screw point on the engine ecu are for to stick* them together :)

The car don't have the ABS, the RIGHT gray plug was used when the k swap was there.

Are-you sur it's the ABS plug ?
 
I have seen that plug setup on some civics, even recently on a 96 vti ek4, even had the little black wire into the metal\ground, also the two twins green ones.

I might be rong but if the car didnt had abs; then ill assume that wiring belonged to the k swapped engine? or even other engine.

i learned very model is a little suprise... my del sol for example from 95 has a obd2a wiring wish was crazy and even honda said be impossible to have lol.

Better help than this would be geting your car \ engine model diagram and check every wire to be certain what you need pluging and cutting.
 
well i had the same prob as you but ill tell you excatly how to do it ciorrectly and theres no other way

me i had a ek 99-00 obd2b

my engine was fromn a 98ek 96-98 obd2a

only way to get that engine to wrk in your car is if you have a b16a2/b16b 99-00 engine harness

it only has 2 connectors and 1 green 1 to plug into your dash harness

obd2a has 3 connectors plus 1 green dash harness.


i have my 0bd2b harness in the garage for sale but im in the uk,but i bought my harness direct from honda as thehre so hard to find a 99-00 harness i paid £400

below my harness 99-00 obd2b notice right bottom only 2plugs and 1 green 1

also youll need a chiped ecu or a p28 p30 to run your engine as a 98 std ecu has a imboliser and diffrent pin outs from a 99-00

get a obd1 92-95 civic vti sir p28 p30

also youll need a 99-00obd2b to a 92-95 obd1 conveershion harness to run the ecu

hope all my info helps you out as i did this convershion myself if your really wanting my engine harness we could wrk a price out##thanks ryan
