Oil filter place

Hello,

I was wondering if this is the original place for the oil filter, and if its not anybody an idea why its placed there?

that aint the original place for the filter in an ek9 anyway. its around there a bit lower down and is angled horizontally rather than vertically
 
That oil filter has been relocated,its original position is off the back of the engine block just underneath the intake manifold
 
Probably been replaced as the car has an Oil Cooler of some sort?
 
Yep it has an oil cooler that's why its moved from the original position...

Thats a re-location kit for the oil filter. Greddy is one of the brands who mades this kits.

Why ?

The most common reason is to change the filter quickly, and its widely used in track only cars, it's a pain in the ass to change the oil filter in the original place :nono:.

yup!!i want on for my civic!!dead handy so they are!!

What I want to know, that if this mod, affects the oil pressure at all? if you have a oil pressure problem on a vtec engine, that could be a disaster :nono:
