OMFG Who's is this car??

I Dont know who the owner is but he is certainly a dreamer! 27k for a civic?

Its not even that cool IMO. Dash is pretty sick though.

Few serious parts on it by the look of it, not 27k's worth of car though
Advert is a bit basic

jezz guys its only £21500 sterling! :naughty: The car looks well setup in fairness and the dog box would be lots of fun.

PROPER registered and setup race cars are worth a lot of cash, when you think that a half decent mk2 escort rally car goes for around 90k...it's not that bad

I believe those kind of gearboxes are 5k + alone...

At the end of the day it's not a used car. It's a fully set up race car with some serious parts. Can't evaluate it like its on auto trader.

I know the lad who owns this car, it really is a tidy car with lots of money spent on it. The same spec eg civic rally cars go for around €23000 over here. I think it's a bit over price and he'll have bother selling it but he might sell it for around the 23 mark as that's what they seem to sell at.

I actually built that car, trust me when I say that the car in parts is worth a whole pile more.

If anyone is genuinely interested in the car and want info on spec you can ask me

Well done sir. That car is a masterpiece.

Confusion arises when people see a proper rally car and think their DIY trackday car is basically the same thing. :p

I was just gonna say, this is not your ordinary fanboy Civic, that's some serious machine and yep, the price is maybe a tad optimistic but that's always the case when it comes to car prices, I'm sure he'd be open to negotiations. Out of curiosity Eoghain, how much does the Saenz Dog Box cost?

I would give my left nut to have a gearbox like that. This must be a true beast of a car.

Perhaps it is a fair price if you're serious about entering competitive rallying with a Honda. Could be better than starting from scratch.

That car is capable of top ten times against wrc cars, evos and escort as recently proved by a car of the exact same spec I built for another man, he was sixth overall times in a field of 120.

It might look like a normal civic but these spec cars I built are not to be mistaken with you average civic with a bolt in cage. This car has a 60/40 weight distribution with all the weight between the suspension tops. Fully rose jointed suspension arms, 215hp geared for 106mph. It is incredibly fast and with the weight of the car the braking dynamic with the dogbox would scare the life out of you. You'd buy a basic civic rally for the price of the electrical components in this car!!

That gearbox kit is about 6k euro.

Just for comparison, here's a roughly £400k Ford Fiesta shopping cart :D

I'm glad someone brought up a wrc! A lot of inspiration was taken from wrc, group a and r3 cars I've worked on. The driving position in this civic is 12 inches back the car from standard. The steering wheel, floor mounted pedal box, gear stick and seat have all been moved back 12 inches. The navigator is closer to the boot door than the bonnet! Haha
