Being away from cars for a while (a year or two) as my ATR Turbo was off the road, I drove my brothers EK9, added a few mods (discs, pads, fluid, eibachs, tyres) and took it to the Ring. Thought the car was amazing! My mate also joined us in his E46 M3.

That was it the bug was back, my friend and I decided to buy a dedicated track car, we looked at a DC2, then a few M3s, but then settled on this EK9 imported and built by SW Motorsports.

It was used in 1 Civic Cup race, and we have used it on 1 track day.

Car was a fresh import then had all this.

So far we have moved the Sparco seat over to passenger side, and added a Recaro SPG for the driver.

Car is booked in for touch up paint, as when removing the stickers off came some paint! Also back in for a GEO check up, Castrol SRF brake fluid.

Have some Rota Slipstreams in Blue which i will put up for sale once i have the tyres off and will be looking for a different set of wheels. Probably just go white G-Spec again to be honest.

Also will be looking to get a K-Swap completed before June, along with upgrading brake pads to RC6. Then selling all the B16B setup etc.

Otherwise she is great fun on track, did well especially against the £30K Ginetta race cars that don't like to let a little Honda past.

Cheers
Jay

damn. i like alot

You sure this is a ek9 as it's 4 stud and chaissis number is up on the bulk head.?

Was told that it was an EK9 imported, then pretty much stripped of EK9 parts for parts that are cheaper to replace if it has an incident during racing.

You can see on the first picture it has no chassis plate on it.

Saw that on Ebay I think.

Yeah that's where we spotted it. For the money its a great fun track car. Cheap to maintain and run, well cheaper than M3s etc.

Just needs a high comp B18 or Kswap and it would be fun on the high speed tracks too.

Tis a great spec. I was a little jealous when i saw the ebay ad for that.

saw this for sale also, like you say cracking car and easier to maintiain than the rest you thought about, well in mate.

Love this Jay! get a K in there be a right weapon then!

Cheers mate.

We have decided to put the K-Swap on hold until the Winter, it just seems a lot needs doing and I don't want to rush it and I don't the car of the road as we are tracking it every 4 weeks!

So I now have a B18C bottom end freshly built with EK9 pistons, I am going to swap the bottom ends over and get it mapped on P28. This can be turned around in a week and is a simple job, and will give us a good gain over the 1600 block imo.

Now just need brake pads, fluid and back to Donington in 18 days :)

I suppose that way you can build up your k swap parts ready for the winter rebuild.

What track are you off too next?

Yeah we can start looking at that later on in the year. Will be at Donington on 4th of April, GP Circuit this time. Its our local and such a good circuit imo. :)

Just looking forward to the Ring in July, 2 day trackday :)
