Plate diff oil to use?


Ive tried an MTF/Kaaz oil mix in my box, much better than before in straight MTF or straight Kaaz. Will test it on track im afew weeks time
 
Soon as I get back off holiday the box is coming off and the diff going in. I'll be running a mix of Torco MTF/RTF, I will report back with the findings.
 
Bit of a thread revival, I ended up going for a 50:50 mix of Torco MTF and RTF. The diff is amazing on track but ever so snatchy/clunky in every other scenario so I've caved in and put a little Torco type F friction modifier in, literally put 20ml in and it's made the diff silent! Just been for a test drive and I'm well happy with it so I'll see how it goes from now on.

Good to hear! Be careful with the synchro's, We tried it in my fathers old Cusco 1.5way and it started to get notchy at high temps. Although we used more than double your amount to be fair :nice:.
 
Yeah the proper test will be on track when the box is hot, hopefully I won't have any issues with the carbon synchros:naughtyx:.
