Guys,

I am after a polishing mop, something that I can use to remove light scratches and bring the car back to a shine.

Not sure I want to the responsibility of cutting compounds but a bit of t cut will do....

Really after some advice on what to get.

In the past I have used the cheap halfords one with t cut on.

Honestly even a really harsh compound is probably softer than tcut.
I've read that a named compound breaks down as you polish so takes away less paint the longer you polish. Where as tcut doesn't and just keeps cutting deeper and deeper.

This is all what I've read, not sure how much truth is in that.

take a look into dual action polishers mate safe and get good results check them out on youtube or on cleanyourcar.co.uk

Cleanyourcar.co.uk

DAS pro 6 dual action, very well priced and simple to use safely.

A good combination if you don’t have much experience would be a DAS 6 DA, White & Black Hex Logic pads and Meguiars Ultimate Compound. I find it very easy to work with and it breaks down quite well, and its easy to get ahold of. There are also Menzerna polishes but these are a bit more expensive.

The original paint on ek9 is very thin.

Here is the results I achieved with the above combo:

Its actually more for our EP3 but i would like to give the 9 a light going over.

Thanks for the help guys.

Typical the DAS 6 is out of stock. (Will keep my eyes open.)

eBay is cheapest for the das mate. £69 +£7 delivery.

Hope that helps :)
