question about suspension

hi

i'm looking at replacing my suspension as i think the current coil over system is blown...

after looking around i am interested in the koni sport suspension kit but thought i'd see if you guys had had any experience with these/could recommend anything else? any help is appreciated!

also is the fitment the same for an ek9 as an ek4? as alot of the uk distributers list the suspension as fitting civic 92-00.

haha, i was just going to post a reply as soon as i saw the thread but one of my koni shocks is messed up now so im VERY upset, but im just gonna send it in for warrenty, but yes aside from that problem i do really enjoy the koni shocks, i have them with 440/250 spring rates and its a decent ride, also it should be noted that my koni shocks are the neuspeed version.

Also looking at these as an alternative to Spoon spring/damper combo. Didnt want to go low as my bumper catches many kerbs as standard. These?

found them real cheap on this site - phoned the guy and he deals with koni direct and he was really helpful but he was unsure if this kit would fit my ek9 but he's gonna contact koni and then get back to me on monday

if any of you guys can tell me that'd be great!

it's nice to nice that blinx is happy with koni shocks as he is an ek9 info god!

those shocks are not the exact ones i have and i also have different springs on them, but to answer your question as long as the shocks are for a 96-00 US market honda civic they will fit an ek9 but if they are 92-95 the rear will NOT fit so make sure they are 96-00 usdm civic

they are same fitment but i would never fit that setup to an ek9

i had that setup on my ek4 and it was horrible, koni messed up with 92-00 civic fitment as not tailored for each individual car and will be poorer than oem ek9 suspension

well the shocks are adjustable so that part dosent matter, its getting the correct springs on there that you need to worry about, i would NOT use the koni springs.

what springs rates did you have? if you had crappy spring rates then changing damping will not do anything...
