Okay so when I picked up the car it came with a remote locking system, (a cheap aftermarket one, I'm guessing, which was put on before it got to the UK). The range is terrible, like I have to be next to the car holding the fob to the glass to make any connection happen. It doesn't lock the doors, so theres not point in using it so I've been using the key to lock her up. I really want a whole new system put on the car but I don't know who to go to, I don't want to cheap out here, (i don't want to cheap out on anything for the car) I don't mind traveling to a garage to get one fitted, can anyone recommend a garage and a system to get? Would really appreciate the help!
(I live in the Scottish Borders, just for a distance reference)

Next is about the cables under the bonnet. The previous Japanese own has had HIDs put in, however there are cable running all over the place. I mean they work really well, nice and bright and everything works, but I want to be able to lift the bonnet and show off the beautiful B16B bay, but I hate the sight of all those cables everywhere. Does anyone know anyone/where I could go to, to get these cables tucked away? Or would it be worth trying to get a whole new set of OEM lights and "tucking" them? ((I'll post a picture at the bottom of this post) Cables are not my forte, so I'm not keen on doing it myself)

Now that winter is upon us, its time to get some work done to my 9. Ive got some slipstream, some new Meister R coilys and a few other parts so that by the time spring comes, she'll look like a whole new machine:)) Another modification I am wanting to do is change my steering wheel, love the look of the dished ones, and I'm keen on getting a quick release one to. What does everyone else use? Been looking on Tegiwa for parts but just wanting some guide on what to go for?

I've seen a few Ek9's which have had Takata 3 point harness's put in and I'm really like the look of it, however a lot of them have had the rear seats either taken out or made useless due to the harness straps. Is there anyway to install the harness while still having the function of the back seats?

(Sorry if theres any bad spelling, dyslexia is a b**ch)
Sorry for all the questions at once but I'm so in love with the car, I cant wait to get working on her!
Many thanks for reading guys,
- Jake

(Please excuse the paint on the front strut brace, its being sent away to get resprayed!)

In terms of the harnesses I would say the answer is no, at least not safely. You might see people using harness bars but personally I think they are a terrible idea and it certainly isn't something you'd want in front of your face in case of a collision so why should your passengers? Imho they should only be used for angle correction when you are bolting your rear straps to the floor.

Hello and welcome to the forum!
You'll find all the members on here are friendly and helpful.
With your central locking have you tried changing the battery in the fob first?
If so then a toad or hornet system are good.

You can tidy up the wiring for sure :nice: you could probably do it yourself on a weekend, or any good autoelectrican will be able to help.

As for the harness's it's risky with reclining seats. I think there is a write up online which exlains it well.
I'll try to find it for you.

Thanks for the reply :)
Yeah, i tried changing the battery but with no luck. I'll have a look at those systems! Do you know anywhere that have a good reputation for fitting?
I'll give it a go next weekend and post back at my progress!
I heard that with the harness's, I think I'll stick with the standard seatbelt, no intention of endangering myself hahaha!!
