Rear Crash Bar Replacement On Em1

well lads and lassies
Got an em1 there at the weekend and its spotless all round and was looking underneath and everythings A1 apart from the rear crash bar, was looking it up online and seems all em1's suffer from rotted crash bars too.
Was wondering has anyone replaced one before ?
Is it just a matter of removing the rear bumper,
undo the four bolts in the boot,
and pull out the old and put in the new?

Think you will find they are welded mate just cut the old bar out and weld in a new bar.

just seen this on another forum and says he bolted it off through the four bolts in the boot ??

i missunderstood you man , i taught you were just looking for the horizontal barier to put on to your own brackets. but ya the part joined to the actual car is bolted..

No worries, grand not too big of a job to replace so! Thanks lads

Ya my rusted as well. Just remove four 17mm bolts in the boot and the bar is off. Will the ek9 one fit?
