Just thought I would let everybody know about a couple of books I have been reading. Did a search on the site but only found a couple of references to one of the books.
The first book I have been reading is "How to rebuild a Honda B-series engine"
It gives detailed explanation of what the title says, obviously a good guide if you want to rebuild your engine. I'm no mechanic and would rather pay for a professional to rebuild my engine but it gives you a good idea of what you should be doing.
The second book I have been reading is "Xtreme Honda B-Series engines"
This book I have found quite interesting because they do a lot of comparisons of performance parts with dyno results, they mainly use a B16A engine or B18C but I think the book is a good indicator of what does and doesn't work. They even turbocharged a B16A using mainly parts from a scrapyard! This books goes through small things from like air intake comparisons right through to cams, headers/manifolds, turbocharging and nitrous.
I picked up both books from the book depository and they were like £25 for the both of them, so it's not going to break the bank for some useful information.
I hope that people find this useful and if they buy the books I hope that they find the books useful too.
