Red 'H' Emblems - How To Remove?

i had the same thing the badges will cost you £41.50 from honda to remove old ones a hair dryer or heat gun works fine :nice:

icbmotorsport.com as far as the badges go. In terms of removing them i find the best method hot water (from a boiled kettle left to cool a bit). For the residue bug & tar remover works fairly well - spray on, leave to soak and remove what you can, then repeat the process.

Got my Front Badge from Honda today, so going to have a go at getting it off!

75700-S03-Z00

Is the part number for the front badge!

The red 'H' emblems on my ek9 are starting to fade so looking to buy new ones. Just wondering how they come off and where to get new ones from. They are loacted on the Bonnet and on the Tailgate.

Replaced my front badge recently with an oem one agin.

Found that nail varnish remover was brilliant for removing the sticky adhesive crap left behind.

Washed it off quickly though. :)

Yep really hot water poured over it and ya can pull it off..Bit of work getting the old glue off..Did mine today and very happy with how it looks

Anyone knows where you can buy these if you dont live in the UK or japan?
Bought the EBAY ones, but after the warnings here im not going to install them

Checked with the honda EPC(EU edition) and it doesnt have the part number for the front badge listed on page2. (75700-S03-Z00)

So im guessing that i cant buy these localy :/

Whereabouts are you mate? I can post up the P/N for the front badge later if you like?

Oh, and back to the original topic, I removed my rear badge yesterday - poured boiling water over it to soften the glue, pulled it off and got busy with some surgical spirit and some elbow grease - came up perfect!

Im from norway. Im guessing these badges are not he same as DC2 (said earlier in this thread). That means i cant find them overe here. We arnt allowed to order Japan spesific parts from what i have been told.

And since the EK9 is only available in Japan and UK im ****ed :(

If i you have both part number it would be great(rear and front). I could try sourcing the parts my self. But if anyone knows a shop that sells them it would be great.

Well, the EK9 was never available in the UK (Japan only) , but we can get the parts through honda garages here. I happen to know that all the EK9 parts I get through my Honda garage come from Honda's warehouse in Belgium, so you shouldn't have a problem providing you can give them a P/N.

I'll post the P/N for the front badge when I get home tonight, not sure If I have it for the rear badge though, prob threw the wrapper away after fitting it yesterday. I'll have a check though!!

Dental floss works well too, but watch out, I didn't realise it was cutting into my hand as I sawed through so now I have loads of paper-cuts from it :nerv:

One thing i dont understand. These ebay fakes. I just recived them today.
And the word around here says that the fakes comes without the two center pins. But these does. Also it seems to be packed liked normal honda Parts and with Honda sticker and partnumer on the outside.

Anyone actually used these that really can confirm that they turn pink in matter of days?

And i got around to checking the local honda dealers, the cheapest one i could find ended up about 55£ for only the front emblem.
They are not allowed to sell the rear emblem, so im out of luck there.
