Carla's car has fresh paint and engine so obviously it's off the road for the winter and she's stolen my ep1 red rocket! Not to worry tho as it's been replaced by an ep3 ).gif ":)) :))")
I bought it in the dark after viewing loads of sheds and getting to the point that I couldn't be arsed looking any more. Turned out to be a minter. Few marks on the body work but over all in really good shape.
Unmodified, 4 owners, some history, 118k. Only had a months mot but after a test drive I knew it was good. Sailed its mot only advisory for two tyres close to the limit.
Needed a clutch and when doing this it still had the original r clips in the ball joints and shifter cable retainers. Always a good sign.
Put in an exedy clutch and fidanza flywheel. Mfactory helical lsd and dc5 4/5/6 gears and some new syncros. What a difference. Diff is really nice but the shift from 3rd to 4th at full chat is amazing.
Gave it a service and new chain, tensioner and guides. Andy at my work machined it and it's come up amazing!
Stuck a headunit I had in it, then some focal front components, Sony two ways in the rear anddddd I had a sub in my mums garage so bought a cheap amp and it now banging in here haha. 18 again lol.
Put a kpro in and grams wideband and had a play on the dyno at work. Made 212 in standard format!! Still has a cat in it. Went to efiparts for a kind of tuning lesson and it's all good! Soon as I get photobucket working I'll get some pics up.
