We had frost in the beautiful south today!

your spec sheet is a holy book for bseries owners!
Brutal jealousy for that block if I'm honest lol

Thanks man, a 4p head and victor x would be nice but... I think it will be gearbox rebuild well before that. New bearings, syncros and a plated diff would be nice.

Rob you need to take me out in this when it's complete please. Wanna see what all this turbocharging fuss is about!

Anytime @Saqib anytime. Was actually speaking to a guy this morning who is selling a turbo kit for a very reasonable price... If you fancy coming over to the dark side :naughty:

I'd imagine it's the best thing in the world! I.e turbo ek9.
I would love to one day.
Also need to see what all the fuss is about

Turn him rob!

Honestly, a low boost ek9 is pretty epic. On low boost(up to about 0.6-0.7bar) youve not got enough boost pressure to actually change the way the car drives too much. You still need to work the engine and it still pulls to limiter without to much "turbo" feel to it. Obviously you've got alittle surge from the very low boost coming in but nowt major.
They drive like a more powerful N/A engine basically with a small bump in midrange grunt as a bonus.

Loving this build  Can I ask who is doing the building/tuning of your engine? Over the other side of the forth from you and will hopefully add some boost to my Jordan in the near future!

Hate waiting on parts but it's got to be right. Making some changes, ID725s are coming out and Injector Nation 1000cc are going in. Mac 3 port boost solenoid is out and Hondata 4 port is going in. And DC2 dual valve springs are coming out and Rocket Motorsport are going in.

In my head I was working through the finished spec as if I was writing a for sale post, its war and peace! Theres not much Honda left in there!
Gone for the 1000cc then

Even a low blow setup complete changes the nature of the car. Depending on the turbo size and spec you will get a nice low down lump in torque. mines did anyway, and it still pulled like a boss at the top end.
Once you go boosted you wont go back.

Engine work is done by myself mate. Well the block we're on now was machined and assembled by mazworx racing engines in Florida but I do the rest. Tuning wise, Aonghus from AP Performance in Ireland is the man. Wouldn't trust anyone else with my car tbh and he's a genuinely helpful guy. This build probably wouldn't be where it is now without his help and advice.

There's a man on here selling a b16 turbo kit for very reasonable money if your interested?

In that case, fair play. Wish I had the ability! Yeah I've seen lots about Aonghus, and read too much bad press about Henry so think I'll be following you over to Ireland. Thanks for the tip off mate, but as much as I'd love to buy a turbo kit just now, I know my life won't be worth living if I tell the Mrs the house plans are off for the time being :nono: But I'm expecting a reasonable sum of money from my company in the next couple of months! Seems there's a few Civics on here that aren't a million miles away, will have to meet up :nice:

Yeah Roy seems to have gained a bit of a bad rep. I've never used him personally so can't say either way. No need to go to Ireland tho mate. He comes over a couple times a year to map cars. Works out of SOS motorsport. Definitely need to get a meet organised before japfest.

Got the valve springs in today mate, heads all built up now. Load of stuff arrived from tegiwa today so thats a bonus but still no sump or injectors. Got some pics but photo photobucket seems to be down
