Well since selling my old eg6 sir a few years ago and regretting it iv been on the lookout for another clean example and i was browsing thro a few threads on here and noticed @KieranEG6 had hinted he was thinking of selling his sir2 so advertised the eg i had at the time as i just felt like it was always going to be someone else's car even tho it was a great car

So after i sold that i fired kieren a pm and after a while we sorted out a price and so i started to plan how i was going to get the car from the isle of man to scotland, so i booked the ferry over for 2:30am :eew: and me and the misses drove down to heysham ferry port in my daily astra leaving at 10:30pm

we arrived in isle of man at about 6:30am meeting kieran i had a quick look over the car and a test drive and i was happy the car was as described so i handed over the money and was back on the ferry at about 7:30

Now for the scary part i let the misses drive the eg back up the road :nerv:

So we got home around 5pm with no problem really apart from a loose negative on the battery

So the next day i grabbed some pics

The car spec list atm is

Standard b16a engine
baffled decat
dc2 mid section
standard ek9 backbox
Dc2 shocks and lowering springs
Advan Sa3R's 15"
Dc5 rear caliper conversion
All original bronze glass
Sir wind deflectors
Full black interior
power folding mirrors
optional extra lsd
front gatherers
Goodridge braided brake lines
Spoon rep rear spoiler
Rpc stage 1 clutch
Slam panel blank
optional extra Stanley yellow fogs

there is prob more iv missed but i will update as i go

i checked insurance and got a cheap quote from adrian flux with a classic policy and took the car for its mot

i had a good look underneath and it is super clean as kieran had a going over it in his ownership, the car passed with zero advisories so i was very happy with that

when i sold my last eg i kept mt seats recaro spg/ and my hans recaro kevlar wrap around bucket seat 7 point cusco cage and a load of other stuff that i had sitting waiting to go on but atm im not sure what route i want to take the car so i will see how i feel over winter time when the car is off the road and go from there

i bought a set of amber corners and fitted them as im not a fan of clear's

i took the car down to jae the other weekend as iv been the last 3 years all in different cars each time

the car ran perfect over the 600 mile round trip even with the car being loaded full of stuff cheap lows :))

after jae i had a couple of days off so i gave it a proper wash and clean

Well that is me upto date so far i think sorry for all the pics

Lovely car this, Saw it at Knockhill on Sunday past.

I took my dad up and we both agreed that this was one of the very few older gen. cars of the day we would be happy to own, Very clean and tidy!

There were some **** cars there all the same.

Thats a Beauty !!! love the registration also :)

man i really want an EG6 again, such fun little car's. all the best with it :)

Nice car this one, was considering buying it when it was for sale a few years back but ended up buying a ek4 sir that was closer to home.

The wheels are a bit love or hate though I think

Thanks guys, im just not sure what i want to do it to it mod wise as i actually like having it with interior atm but iv got all the bits lying about to go down the other route

Going to save up for some coilovers teg arb's, steering rack and have a look at the bushes and see how they are looking and just go from there

Was sad to see it go. But with the minimal amount of use we had for it I just hated seeing it sit there getting dusty.

So glad its gone to such an avid enthusiast's home.
