Bought a new car - Collected it on Saturday (today). Paid deposit earlier this week! Trading Amanda's EP3 in against it since I got her a new car last month, and the deal with the garage is pretty decent. She'll be delighted as she'll get to use it during the week.

Looked at a few options. Was keen on getting a 330d Sport, then came into some money and was convinced on a 535D M-Sport, but not long after convinced myself into one of these.

I'll let the pics do the talking. These are the ones from the advert iv saved on my iPad, all I have until Saturday. People on my fudbook might have seen a pic of it on Sunday night prior to making a final decision.

So yea - there she is. A 2002 E46 M3, manual in Laguna Seca Blue.

Comes with the plate too.

Not overly keen on the wheels being black. Will look into changing that come spring time.

Dark front indicators and sorting out the cheap carbon wrap on the grill and interior will be only priorities over winter, except from binning it and fuelling it of course

Travelled to Angelsey yesterday, stayed over in hotel, picked the car up this morning and travelled home

The cars different class. Weather was decent all the way home, absolutely brilliant.

Better get used to this visit. Hahaha

Brilliant fun and great motor all round. Needs a good valet, and the wheels I'm just not liking that much. Can live with them over winter and try get some genuine CSL's.

Cheers

Steve

Very nice!

Im always stopping for fuel in my lexus gs300 so can only imagine how this feels!

Best color :nice:
White or grey Volk TE37's would really set it off.

First update - Depo black indicators

Awaiting silver indicator lamps then will be fitted INSTANTLY!!

Cheers Dave

Home at 7.30, dinner, screwdriver out, into the minus in temperature, but worth it. Simple but effective.

Here are some horribly poor pictures

Next up - remove the front reg plate holder, shorten the M3 plate, LED rear number plate lamps, then start looking at expensive stuff (WHEELS and Andrive)

Very nice bud, love the colour. There a few of us on here with M3s now.

Nice man, I was in the same situation as you, looking at 330d and 5 series aswell then decided to get an M3. Your private plate is just one letter different from mine aswell lol.

Brilliant man... love the colour! I am sure you will make this amazing same as the rest of your motors :nice:

Thanks guys. I don't have many plans for it, enjoy it mainly, maintain it but no doubt there will be occasions where upgrading is better than going for OEM :)

Iv never been to East Kilbride with the car yet, no. Maybe drove past that way on way home last Saturday

Weekend bath, and some daytime pics to show the dark indicators. Match the headlights much better

Simple wee update - LED number plate lamps. Pics don't show them very well, they don't look right in pics but on the car, in the flesh looks a whole lot better, especially with the facelift rear lights.

Old on the left, new LED on the right in the picture above.

Both done in pic below

Least of my worries and the last thing I had to think about when buying a car like this. Ranges between 19 and 35 average depending what kinda driving im doing. Town/city driving isn't great. Motorway cruising, easy peasy.

Thanks Richey

Ordered some LED sidelights that match the xenons, put them in today on my break at work. Also ordered some smoked side repeaters. That'll be the lighting sorted out until at least after Xmas. Then it's time for some wheels and a look into the Andrive car hifi system.

Spending may be down to a minimum. Just put reservation down on a new (my first) house and get the keys end of May. Long wait, but hopefully I'll have the M3 perfectly how I want it by then.

I sold my E46 M3 some time ago. loved it. Good choice on the Stick shift. SMG trannys are rubbish and they tend to fail very often.
