Right, so I was thinking of putting Citroen C2 VTS front seats into the civic (they're surprisingly comfortable and hold me quite well) however the following has been proving difficult.

1: Need to weld the mounting brackets from civic ej9 rails to the C2 rails to make them fit and bolt down.
2: The C2 seats have airbags on either side, the cables are all intact and they came with seatbelt pretensioners in case of a crash (scary stuff handling so many explosives lol) My main concern is, if I put them in, will the airbags go off accidentally? The last thing I want is explosions happening around me whilst I'm in motion :S

Any feedback would be awesome. Thanks

I would not wire the bags in mate, more hassle than its worth and when they hit you in the face it is not very nice.
Put the seats in but leave the bags.

Wasn't planning on wiring them in Alex, just worried about them going off on their own lol.
They're side airbags, meant to help with side impacts but I don't want them going off.

Was thinking of taking them out but I'd rather not investigate explosive bits haha

As above. No electrical signal=no explosions. Un needed weight in a 1.4 though.

They're a fair bit heavier than the standard seats, however, since it's my daily comfort is king :) They're loads more comfortable (to me at least) than the standard seats

FairPlay. If you like them then crack on! Be something different aswell to the usual recaro swap

Look the part as well. Full black seats with quite pronounced side thingies to keep me held in (I'm a big lad haha so these do the job). Got 2 front seats, full rear and door cards for £50 so can't complain!

Need to shift the rear seats and doorcards now though haha

Infact, would anybody know where I could pick up the mounting brackets off the civic rails?

I mean the metal pieces that seem welded on to the rails themselves.
