Hi All

Anyone know can you get shifter linkage rebuild kits? Mine feels a tad sloppy .

cheers

If you mean the bushes then look at these links below.
Quick and easy google search.

As above. I don’t know if there are any kits out there, but the LHT video is really good and should be followed.

LHT points out that just replacing the bushings doesn't always fix slop problems. I would suggest replacing the bushings anyway, as 20+ year old
Bushings are never a good thing.

Thanks for the above. Shifter is out now and have the 2 energy bushes. That video looks like a good start

Make sure to replace the plastic bushing around the shifter ball like they do in the video, made a big difference for me.

I checked my local Honda garage and apparently those parts are discontinued. Does anyone know when I could get a shifter rebuild kit? Basically some rubbers and o rings. I have the energy bushings which don’t seem to be the issue

cheers

You can pull all the part numbers needed off the LHT video referenced above. From there maybe try eBay, amazon, or on line Honda parts retailers?

I just got all of those parts not too long ago, and I’m in Canada so I don’t think they are discontinued on this side of the pond.

I refreshed the whole thing and replaced the shift rod with the one Spoon sell. I found a lot of the slop is caused by the union joint at the end of this bar. The joint itself is not a replaceable part so a new bar it was.
Replaced as many parts as I could as I wanted to make sure it was working 100 percent first time.

I’ll attach the diagram, all the parts marked in red were bought from either Amayama or Lings, the parts marked blue were bought from Spoon.eu.
wasn’t cheap but the shifter feels brand new now

Sorry what? Youre looking in the wrong places mate. The ek9s of all chassis codes are on there.

@danbo2002
I did this rebuild of the shifter with new rubbers / bushings from amayama and wow what a difference. Feels like new again. Cheers for the advice

How much was the spoon rod/bar (part 13 in honda diagram)?

Spoon eu website isn't working at the moment as they are upgrading it..
