Currently I have 170 whp, but I want 180 whp hehehe, I'm planning on getting skunk2 pro 1, springs, retainers, cam geras and a 70mm throttle body.

Any of you have any experience with this cams? I will use my car for autocross and drag racing.

Thank you for your input guys

:drive:

Must be degreed, i put them in a b18c4 with usdm ITR pistons, i/h/e and aem ems, tuned on 91 octane made 208whp on a dynapack dyno in hot weather :nice: great cams, pain to install though since you have to degree...

Do you sell this cams? :p

Nope, i don't sell anything bro, i work in mortgage loans, but every now and then i work on cars for fun, it was a friends car so i didn't mind and i got to use the old garage i used to work at so it was like old times :)

How's the performance compare to Skunk2 Tuner series?
Tuner Series is also good but Pro series is more aggressive, its the newer stuff, Pro1 is somewhere between tuner1 and tuner2. I'm sure if you email skunk2 they can give much better info, iirc pro series is supposed to have a wider tq band, make better mid range and top end, basically not only do they make great peak but the power under the curve is also very good. I know for turbo cars tuner1 gains about 15-20whp more than CTR cams while pro1 gains about 30+whp on turbo setups depending on the application, some have seen gains as high as 60+whp over CTR cams but those would be on 500whp turbo b series. However all Pro series cams must be degreed while only the tuner2 and 3 must be degreed, some have been able to run the tuner2 without degreeing...

I hear that its difficult to tune a Pro series cams. Im planning to sell my S2S2 tuner cams and upgrade too Pro but i alway read feedback that its dificult to tune.

Tuning is just like any other cam as long as they are degreed/installed properly. If they are not the tuning becomes a nightmare!!! We learned this first hand, that is why i HATE briancrower cams, they must be degreed and it is near impossible to degree them for some reason, no matter what you do they are still off and you have to just end up guessing and hope the damn things work, but the pro1 was much easier to setup so long as you have a degree wheel and experience. I didn't do the degreeing though my tuner did.

I' think I'm getting a set guys :nerv:

For anyone who does road racing, I would definetely incourage you to try the Skunk2 Pro series cams. The mid-range torque increase will make a huge difference coming out of the corners :naughty:

they said its required to use skunk2 V springs for the pro series but what if i am using spoon ones already?.

I don't know how good/bad the spoon springs are, however the PRO series cams are a much newer approach to cam design and i would only trust the PRO series valvetrain, you should be able to sell the spoon ones you have for good money anyhow ;)

I've used Blox springs and retainers on Pro2 cams before. they worked nicely. I still vouch for Supertech valvetrain though. :)
