just went and bought the stage 1,s was going for the 2,s but none in stock would i see much gains with the pro1,s i have all good bolt ons on car and it will be mapped with hondata ecu car is just going to used for racing.if i put in the pro1,s would it be wourth pulling the head off and putting a thinner head gasket on to bump the comp

A bump in comp is always worth it realy. Edit: would be needed at least 12:1 to get the best out of the pro 2's.

Would have waited for the Pro Stage 2 cams to come in as if you get it all done and find its not enough you will have to go through the whole fitting and mapping proccess again.

Heard plenty people using the Pro 2's seem to get good results.

its a b18c r standered pistons if i was to wait for the 2,s would i see much gains from them with a thinner head gasket car has all good bolt on,s

pro 1 are good enough for what you have they are really good cams. what you might want to consider is upgrading the head with double spring and retainers.

I'm running a B18C R with oem head gasket, and Hondata and pro 1, I only gained 7 whp over stock, with a thinner head gasket you'll raise your compression around 0.3, so your motor will have around 11.4 - 11.5 compression, in my opinion you'll not have enough compression to move skunk2 pro stage 2 since they're very agressive. As another user mentioned above you'll need 12.1+ compression level to be able to get the full benefits of this camshafts.

But if you have the money, access to a dyno, you can try ! maybe we are wrong! :)

yeah will be getting matching springs and retainers but what if i got higher comp pistons would i seen much gains with stage 2,s ,im going to be racing and there is some fast cars getting built for it so want something fairly quick

so would i be better off getting skunk2 stage2 cams and then wait till i get money for high comp pistons

Yes with +12:1 pistons you will see good power using pro 2's but don't go higher than 12.5:1 if you plan on running it on ordinary pump fuel. Is the car going to be on the road also or just all out track car?

yeah its just a track car i want to get it ready for the itcc..i only got the cams today in icetronix day had no 2,s in stock he came out with the 1,s and i got them but think ill change them and wait for the 2s then get pistons do you no of any good high comp pistons

Wiseco, JE etc... there is many brands out there

A nice mod for your motor would be a set of ctr pistons. Would also suggest getting a set of the skunk2 pro series valve springs & retainers to run with the pro series cams.

Just my 2 cents
