My slave cylinder has decided to let go on my 96 ek3 1.5. I was fitting my replacement today but I cannot for the life of me get the hardline off. I've tried wd and freeze spray to try and release the threaded screw that goes into it but it won't budge. The section of hardline coming from the cylinder goes into a rubber pipe a bit further along is it possible to remove the hardline from there so I can hold the cylinder in a vice and get more strength on it?

Yes you can do that, or try using a crowsfoot spanner or pipe spanner as these fit the brake pipe ends much better.

Thanks for the reply I ended up chasing it back to the next connection a little bit further up the line and lifted it out. Only had the car a week and love it
