i know a few people who have the slow window sydrome...mine included...left more than the right one? my right one is pretty quick!
I got the exact same problem... and when it rains and the windows/seals get wet, it's even worse

i got heaps of rattles, mainly in the rear... but i think that's cos my exhaust is WAY too loud, things vibrate like crazy... time for a change.

my rear right light also gets water, but i think it's got a crack in the tiny gab between the light and rear qtr panel... can kinda c it with a flashlight. but yeh will have to remove them to really have a look.

Tighten the bolts with which the seats are fastened. Helped for me.

my one and only annoyance is after having an alarm installed, to ensure it can be insured, there is a section of the dash that rattles at a certain rev range - somewhere around the 2800 rpm mark - everytime and it's SO annoying! i wish i hadn't had it taken apart now!!

as for this that isnt true.. unless that VTR was fooked or the driver cant drive. ive been beaten by 2 of them... and they do have quite a bit more than us
i dont agree with this.
ive beaten many a VTR in my little d14 civic and astra sxi's havent got a chance against my civic either. my mates 106 gti only just beats me.
btw...my cars stripped out with buckets and a custom decat and pipe straight to my backbox. upgraded air intake and spark plugs. but thats all. i think it depends alot on the driver though. i feel like i know my car like the back of my hand.

on topic anyway...my drivers door never opens properly...it opens half way then i have to wiggle about my key and my door handle from the outside to make it open. i think its because the metal rods under the door card are bending/flexing.
any ideas?

the one vtr is my mates..definitely a vtr. he did have one extra passenger to me though.
other vtr's im sure are vtr's as the furio's are 1.4's and are very slow lol and easily blown.
im not trying to start an argument mate i just wanted you to know that it is possible. you shouldnt think too little of yur engine because the d14's are amazing in comparison to any other companies 1400 engines. i get a lot of ppl telling me my cars fast for a 1.4. usually they ask if its a 1.5 or a 1.6 if they really dont know what theyre on about lol.
the astra i raced last night knew i was going to beat him i recon. he said that he is building an eg with a d16 lump and turbo'ing it.

who got some

just small annoying things

i think the interior light in my ek9 is a joke

and that the handbrake is crap

any more?

Who said handbrake was crap???

ebay is your best friend

And interior light???

Mine burnt the lines by installing a larger bulb, so I had some clear side indicators I had lying around and wired these to the door relay. I'll be wiring another 2 for the top lights one of left and right.

Disco anyone?

I installed 4 Red neons and wired to the cigar lighter, changed the fuse to higher ampage to power all these babies up. Modified the line to have a switch on the cigar plug as you can see theres a small red dot light indicator on the cigar plug.

jugbugz, i am impressed with your interior lighting! my interior light is also dim as hell so would love to do what you have done, i just wouldn't dare mess!!

my handbrake is also scratched underneath the button - you can't see it but i, the driver, can feel it - but again, i wouldn't fancy messing as i know there a nightmare to get off as there so tightly fitted to the lever!

good work though :nice:

haha thanks, I think I used 15 or 20 amp.

Red neons goes very well with EK9 interior, driving at night makes my car feel 10 years younger!!

I run a 4 socket adapter that has the power plug modified with a switch type that I run to the cigar lighter. Ive had this setup for almost 3 years and no problems. :nice:

You can see I hid the 4 socket adapter behind the centre bottom console on the neon picture
