the one vtr is my mates..definitely a vtr. he did have one extra passenger to me though.
other vtr's im sure are vtr's as the furio's are 1.4's and are very slow lol and easily blown.
im not trying to start an argument mate i just wanted you to know that it is possible. you shouldnt think too little of yur engine because the d14's are amazing in comparison to any other companies 1400 engines. i get a lot of ppl telling me my cars fast for a 1.4. usually they ask if its a 1.5 or a 1.6 if they really dont know what theyre on about lol.
the astra i raced last night knew i was going to beat him i recon. he said that he is building an eg with a d16 lump and turbo'ing it.
im not arguing lol
but i must have a slow d14 because i get beat by every vtr that comes my way, but i wil agree its a quick for a 1.4. try having a go against a seat ibiza 06' 1.4, they are very torquey. but tbh its my first car i couldnt give a toss. im saving a 9 so euro trash owners can suck one! lol

not reliable.
thought it was pretty fast for what it was until i got my beloved civic aha

I have some sort of earthing problem, as my A/C controls most of the time dont light up and some times they do.
I have the same problem too, I don't get it. When I hit it, it lights back up, but half of it does.

Anyone know what can fix this problem?

slow window motors
puddle of water in boot from lights leaking
exhaust bolts keep coming loose from solid engine mounts and solid suspension
1 2 and 3 of my heaters stopped working, 4 works fine, and i can only move my heat control one about 1/4 of the way across :S

For the exhaust bolts try putting a nut on the back of the nut thats already there, it should act as a "locknut" they work against eachother and stay tight. (like the locknut on a cup and cone bearing on a bicycle wheel)

Also, window winders and sticky windows sometimes result in me punching the door pocket, or dash when my hand slips off! Man i gotta get power windows on my 9! would it be a difficult conversion with regards to wiring? Anyone who has done this conversion, could they please let me know, as im totally past having window technology from the 80's! lol

I notice my EK9 is slightly tilted on the left side when it was still on its stock suspension. When i change to coilovers, there was a big difference on the coilover threads turns between the left & the right side.. :confused:
Cool...and i thought it was only me! Its nice to see that i wasnt just loosing it...lol

my civic small annoyances and they seem common along a few of the others ive asked about and seen...

Leaking passenger side in foot well.
the power steering reservoir gets in the way when trying to align and configure the headlight on the left side.
dome light is dim(but gonna replace with an LED)
turning circle is not great at all
boot matts are weak... bend and buckle(masonite ftl) but this is usually cos of boot leaks due to air vent seals failing etc....
handbreaks arent great, both my hondas ive had to pull them up strong(and after adjusting them as well they dont last long at that setting)
windows also but im sure thats just cos of age.
Seat rails tend to give out as well.

Agree on handbrake my honda had a bad hand brake. Also got a leak in the boot don't know how.

Also about the parking thing my car got crashed into and the person who did it drove away. Seems some people who can't drive are also heartless.

It's currently in a mass of pieces and i miss driving it :((
lmao! so is mine, and i still gotta take the dash and engine out!:nerv: i was just putting the bolts and some other bits back etc today on some of the things that have been removed so i dont loose them lol.
