small annoyances on your ek9's

LOL, the window problem just spray some Silicon Lub on the rubber channels. or WD40.

The standard steering horn is out of place...should be in the middle...solved by changing steering wheel

Mine was down to the motor replaced the motor and good as new

I recently got annoyed over a gap between my driver side door and roof arch at the top.
Weather is rainy all the time and water is dripping in, ruining in my interior.
Although door closes perfectly. and I can set the alarm as well. byt there is quite noticeable gap at the top.

I hate the squeaking noise that comes from the rubber bushing inside the top mounts of the suspension, also my driver side power mirror does not fold properly.

I hate:

The annoying squeak coming from my Recaro (I think)
Getting wet feet (and the passenger getting wet feet) whenever I drive in the wet
Lack of torques
The worry of yet another alternator going (on my 7th one in 2 and a half years)
My harnesses trying to cut my head off
The fact it has no MOT
The O/S/F tyre has a slow puncture
Brakes don't work properly
The crunch going into 3rd when giving it absolute tits

i hate that when i turn on the music the rear spoiler is making vibrations as contacting with the glass and it sux, also i hate small noises whenever i drive and dropping in holes on the street and the back of my car is squeeking /

the back of your car squeaking is one of two things.. ARB bushes need lubing etc or your boot is not down tight enough lol.

After removing my harnesses yesterday i have another to add, the seatbelts dont retract properly :(

Yup mine are dog slow too and its a major annoyance :(

Speaker housings that shake when you turn up the stereo can go on my list.

Loads of upgrades to buy and not enough money to fund them all :)

Ditto about the seatbelt, the drivers one especially. It does retract back but it always twists and jams itself. I have to manually twist it back straight to get it fully retracted back.

I gave up with trying to fix the rattles. Too much effort.

The annoyances from 6 months of ownership are:
  • Windows slow to go up.
  • Folding mirror working when it wants
  • Rear seatbelts clicking
  • Front seatbelts not retracting due to twisting.
  • Removing the a-b-c pillar plastic trim is a joke.
  • Fixing other peoples daft ideas like wiring fog lights to only work on full beam.
  • Recaro bolsters collapsing so you sit on the rail.
  • Not being able to clear codes via OBD2 machines.
  • Not being able to clearly know what the engine light etc are caused by from the codes.
  • Water leaks caused by morons not fitting the front windscreen correctly.
  • The wiper/light controls on opposite sides to every car i've ever owned.
  • Rattles that i don't have a clue what are causing them.
I still love the car, its just an old car so part and parcel really.
