So, what do you do?

Studying Mechanical Engineering in college. I work for my dad, doing graphic design.

I'm a student, currently in my 3rd year of a Masters course in Mechanical Engineering. Git two part time jobs too, sales advisor at Screwfix which is awesome, and I work at a golf course driving the tractor.

Keeps me busy :nice:

What part of your course covers drawing giant cartoon dinosaurs ? Ha ha

I just dos about really. No I was in IT but began to hate it so i've gone on a bit of a trip to Asia to think about my options. I'll call it taking a break!

Time served mechanic at ford but now a head valeter for nissan. Hence why i drive a diesel 306 now haha

Graduated from my BEng in Mechanical Engineering in July, enjoyed Newcastle and opted to get a house with friends along with a part time job and chill out for a year but I applied for a job as a systems engineer for a home radiator manufacturer and two interviews later I got it, couldn't turn it down! First full time/permanent job and it isn't so bad. Moving into an ITR now :nice:

Currently a mechanic at Audi, but leaving on Tuesday and starting at Skoda in the new year

I have 5 vacancies for mechanical engineers at the moment.
Good graduates should have no problems at all getting jobs as there is a real shortage - Jaguar keeps stealing my grads.
Not just mechanical either... there is faaaar to few people study engineering i general now.

We are getting involved at primary school level to make kids want to be engineers rather than Sports Scientists or bloody Sociologists.

Make sure you get a job that pays right and you enjoy. ..if you arent getting at least 22k id sack em off. Your degree will bave cost a bucket so it owes you!!

I'm a branch manager at wolseley plumb center, plumbing and heating spares etc

A lot of interesting jobs on the board!

I did however forget to mention that I am currently going through the application process of becoming an Air Traffic Controller. I also do graphic/web design and photography.

I work in a call centre. It is soul destroying.

Anyone looking to hire someone round about the Glasgow area give me a shout :nice:

Was a time served mechanic with ford, been an HGV driver for last 6 years and now currently looking to get a job offshore.
