Hi guys,
I've moved back to Glasgow after a year away and that means I can work on the car again, yay! I've removed the old smokey engine to make space for a (hopefully) healthier one, and since I'm there I've decided to sort out all the rust problems as well. Now I know how to deal with most of it but I don't know what to do about the slam panel. It's structurally solid, but the problem is that because of it's shape I will never be able to get away all the rust, and I don't want to spend all this time fixing it just for the rust to appear again in a year. I don't need it to look perfect, it's a track car but I want it to last. Any suggestions as to how to get the rust from the hard-to -reach areas, or should I just replace the slam panel and be done with it?
