Speed sensor problems

I've recently fitted an s80 gearbox from a 96 spec dc2 in my ek4 now me speedo doesn't work I was thinking maybe fit the speed sensor from my old stardard box which I know works but they look different, anyone ever fitted the sensor from a s4c non lsd box to an s80? Cheers

pretty sure i had read up years ago that the speed sensors are interchangeable between S80 and S4C maybe the S9B as well.

Did you managed to get this sorted it the end? I also swapped to a S80 LSD gearbox and speedo stopped working, the sensors are inter changeable, it does fit.

any ideas?
