hello

my car was involved in a slight head collision.
the srs light is constantly on, I have put in a new srs module, replaced the passenger airbag and driver steering wheel, and tried the reset srs light with a a loop of wire, found over the internet. this has not resolved in the srs light diminishing.

anycan advise anything?

Remove the battery lead and leave off for five minutes also press the brake pedal to get rid of any voltage in the system then replace the battery lead hopefully it should be ok then if not then I would check all connections on the airbag plugs and module and retry again

Why Do U Even Need The Light To Come Off. I Had That Same Issue When I Changed My Steering Wheel And The Light Never Came Off. Didn't Bother Me At All Or The Guy I Sold The Car To. Is It Burning A Hole In Your Retina Or Something

it gets annoying for some people, myself included, i just unplugged the srs harness. i drive in the canyons at night i dim my cluster all the way so to have that one light on is kind of a distraction.

Hi mate,

I just fixed this problem a month ago.

With me, it was because my battery was low and sent wrong signals to the ecu and stuffed it up.

Its not the SRS module that you have to reset but it is the ECU.

You need to bring your car into Honda and get your ecu plugged into the diagnostics and I know sometimes you can't read import cars ecu but they should be able to figure out a way around it.

Once theyve managed to get through, there will be an error(i can;t remember what number), they will just reset that error and problems gone.

But that should fix your problems for good.

Indeed correct. Sometimes there's a permenent DTC saved in the ECU that you can't reset with the battery off.
