Hey evryone, im thinking about doing my first trackday at blyton park in april this year and i wondered if any of you have any experience using standard pads. Or am i best off buying some ds2500's.
thanks

I did a track day at Combe on Saturday, I had a standard spec front pad and the were fine until they got Hot!! I ended up destroying the front pads.
Would highly recommend upgrading your pads.
Also use a high boiling point racing brake fluid.
I had no fade issues, just got bad judder from overheating.

Bare minimum of DS2500 pads and rbf600 brake fluid or ATE superblue fluid

Other pads which are road and track friendly would be the Mintex M1155 or Carbon Lorraine rc5+

Standard pads and fluid will cook in the first lap if you are going hard enough and and your brakes will be useless and dangerous
