Yellow EK9
My ek9 is parked around the back of my house in my private parking space at the moment and will be for a few months till I get my driveway done and kerb dropped

In the mean time I would like some security as it seems to be attracting some attention at the moment.

Saw a guy a few streets away standing with a modified Corsa with his mates and they were staring at my car yesterday twice when I went past them. I thought fair enough but I’ve come back this morning from working nights. 3 guys who I believe were with him are standing looking at it chatting. When I was approaching in my van they started walking away. Seems a bit weird at 6am

Can anyone recommend a good wheel lock or something that may put people off attempting doing something **** like steal or damage it?

Good old fashioned disklok I read was the biggest deterrent. Either the full big circle or the bar that goes through the wheel. I've got a snap off wheel so it just comes off. 100% need alarm and immobiliser too like toad, cobra, viper etc. 1 further you could install a kill switch.
Damage wise bit hard to stop someone scratching etc besides cctv to watch. Bit dodgy of them just looking at it unless they really like it lol swear every chav is joining the Honda game now

Yeah I’m honestly worried about it getting damaged, it hasn’t a single dent anywhere so it would be **** if someone tried to pry a door open or something

Had a look at those disklok things and was tempted to order one, wasn’t sure what wheel locks are compatible with it, guess they should all be adjustable,

Alarm is a shout but a bit out my money range for now. I was about to buy a car cover. Anything to disguise it and also protect it. Plus it would take longer for someone to get to it only to find a wheel lock as well. Only issue is it seems some guys clearly already know what’s underneath it

Could take my fence down and bring it on the front which is what my misses told me to do but it’s all grass at the moment and I don’t want wildlife and moisture in the wheel arches

Nothing has happened to the car (yet). I’m sticking it on the front for now. Sending an application to the council for the kerb drop

What a pita that is, they want a scale drawing, photos and detailed description of the work plus a bunch of other stuff. That’s just the pre-application. £55 too

Think the kerb drop alone is going to be nudging 2k judging from others in my area nearly 5 years ago paying 1700

When I went overseas for a month I was worried enough to remove ECU, steering wheel and two wheels. That was with it locked in my garage too...

Would go disklok over a bar as they can just cut the steering wheel to get it off otherwise. Also I have heard they like car covers as once they are in no one can see them...

Welcome to park it at mine she'll be safe here :D
Yeah I'd go for a disklok if you can, bit tedious to put on everytime but better safe than sorry. If you're parking it up then can remove ecu, or fuel pump fuse is what I did. Install a kill switch too maybe (chrisfix did a great video) alarm and immobiliser is a must! when the funds come round for it.
Got any home cctv to watch over that direction too?

Good point Klasse about a car cover being a disguise for thieves once they are in, never thought of that.

Do want an alarm in the future, will also be removing the fuel pump fuse from now on just in case. I am getting CCTV straight after the driveway is sorted.

Ive already had 2 cars broken into, one of which was to steal the parcel shelf (that is no joke) so back window put through on that one. Second one was at a train station car park without CCTV. Smashed side window and steering column cover off, hacked wiring. had to get the car recovered back to my house before the day rate for the car park came into play. That was fun

I'd take the fence down and put some paving slabs down. At least its in your property then and a lot less likely to get nicked. A disklok would still be going on though

This asap. Could roll out a thick weed membrane over the grass, held down by tend pegs for temp measure. Also get a camera up at the windows with a motion senor light once it's in front of your house. If there is no alarm at present, as well are removing the fuses, you could also get a battery negative terminal connector thing that you screw off, something like this - https://www.amazon.com/Post-Battery-Master-Disconnect-Switch/dp/B001N729FS. That's what I've got. If scum want to nick it, they will try, but it's about making it as difficult as possible.

Fuel pump fuse is a good temp option, i've used that on many of my cars.
